Why are so many people running auto's the idea never even occurred to me?
I consistently get several ounces of "OUT OF THIS WORLD", bud that looks like each cola has been dipped in powdered sugar; from each auto. No longer do I have to wait and worry about bud rot, maggots and other common pests. I start them in medium size peat pots they can grow through because they DON'T LIKE TO BE TRANSPLANTED. I start them indoors for a few weeks and then plant them in about 10 gallon pots and transition them to outdoors by June 1st. Harvest the colas when you see the first yellow trichromes. I usually do 4 harvests on each plant taking the successive, lower flowers as they hit maturity. If I''ve got heavy buds, I move the plants indoors or use a picnic umbrella to protect them from the rain. Sink a foot or so of plastic pipe in the ground that is large enough for the umbrella shaft to fit within it. I've grown for many decades but have transitioned to autos outdoor. The autos grow too fast for most pests and diseases to seriously effect and they are as strong as any buds. Dinafem and several other companies sell auto seeds that produce autos that are about 4 feet tall and HEAVY WITH BUDS. Give 'em a try.

IMHO
In order to have sucesss with autos one has to change their thinking. Autos have a very short veg that is on a biological clock. Do everything you can to not slow down and to optimize that biological preset veg time.

That's a start, then realizing you can do multiple crops in a season, and fill many quart Jars with premium uber sticky buds.

I had multiple crops this summer, about 25 plants in all. I have a one left standing that I started some time in July. Couple more weeks for calexes to swell..

Hi I'm new to Autoflowers and have a question I can't seem to find the answer to. I'm just going to use one of my strain breeds as an example. I'm growing BOMB SEEDS THC Bomb Auto and I'm coming up on controversy information according to bomb seeds it says 65 days till Harvest but I have seen people's grow journals that show their plants at 12 weeks. My question is is that 65 days from Sprout to harvest or 65 days of flower time or am I just wrong on 65 days. Any information would be very helpful if you've ever grown THC bomb Auto, Gorilla Glue #4 Auto or blue dream Auto would you please weigh in and let me know the actual grow time from seed to harvest that you had with your plants.
AUTO BOT here ( hmmm should use that for profile ) ....

Breeder info should be a guide ONLY ... there time frames are based on PERFECT CONTROLLED CONDITIONS... which many growers don’t have. Autos love light , lots of light. They are hard wired to go from seed to harvest usually within 90 days ( although Sativa Dominate can go longer ) .

I grow Bomb seeds , G13 , HSO , Mephisto, Speed , Rare Dankness and a few others.
DWARF strains are EXACTLY named ... small compact little shits. Mostly a single center cola kind of plant.

From germ to about Day 35 / or so is when it becomes sexually mature and begins transitioning to flower. YOU CANNOT STOP THIS. No matter what you do. I have had some strains throw pistils at day 22 , so that THIRD WHEEL GENE ( Ruderalis ) can throw some uncertainties in your grow. Even seeds from the same stock can run differently......

They are NOT heavy feeders , in LED GROWS you may use a 1/3 of what you think you should.
This where most grower issues come from. Over feeding and overwatering. The MOST IMPORTANT stage is the germ to just BEFORE preflower - it’s very limited ( time ) VEG STAGE / Rooting.

This stage is where Auto growers screw the pooch by throwing a sink full of shit at a small plant.
I learned that with autos , if you have a good “ complete “ soil mix , simple bagged veg / garden mix it will be ENOUGH to get it to grow properly WITHOUT ADDING SHIT. Just water @6.3 / 6.5 .
Most good soil is prebuffered already. So at say week 5 ( day 35 or so ) the soil will start to deplete and the plant will only store what it needs instead of DUMPING on it. Then a simple 1/2 veg feed to carry it thru stretch phase (week 2 of flower ) you then can begin bloom Nutes as nitrogen is used less. The leaves will fade as the weeks go , perfectly normal as it uses its reserves.

It’s a learning thing.

Autos can get big , those who don’t think so , don’t know how to grow them.

Ok. So I have this girl here, and she is different then anything I've ever grown. Fast, quick to show sex, and node small spacing like crazy. Had alot of problems with her a long the way.

She is under 18/6, and after some research I thought it was an auto flower. I can't tell ya the age because I didn't keep track but if I had to guess a month and a half old.

She isn't really growing nugs, which I expected to see from an auto by now... could this be because of the issues I had along the way? Was my guess of an auto wrong? And she's just a crazy healthy girl and should flip to 12/12 immediately? She's looked the same for weeks just getting taller. Heeeelllp.

Wow ... that’s a caveman looking plant . Looks like Swazi gold . Where did you get that.

Flip that tree ... expect it to stretch ... seriously. You need to throw more light on it too.
Pull that out into natural light ... take some pics ...we want to see her in all her glory.

If you are sure it have been growing over 30 days , it ain’t an auto.
Autos are hardwired to go girl ( or male sometimes) on an internal clock.

But some supposed autos have to be forced ... either way , no problem.
