Once you get the new lights raise them about 12" maybe 8" above the plant...dont wanna burn them.

all flouros can be kept as close as 2in from a plant just make sure they dont grow into so id say 3 in if your willing to move them on a regular basis but no more than 4-5in. id keep the t8 and use the cfls to light the sides. youll get bushier plants. do the opposite if you want taller ones. no offense to top5 but dont listen to him check the sticky in the cfl growing section of the forum called cfl proximity to foliage or something light that i cant remember it

ok an wen i put the germinated seed in the soil under the light for 24 hours for 2 daysthen shut it off for at 4 am for 4 hours back on at 8 an from 8 am till now its grown bout a inch well close to it the one has a very strong straight fatter than a toothpick forsure but the other had a hard time comin out the dirt an is flopped on its side but its a half inch so idk wats gonna happen wit her

no its green a lil darker than it should be but ok im gonna find somethin to stake it with but u dont think see now it can stand up it will pick it self up towards the light

you need to get the lights closer to the plants 1-2 inches and put a little fan on low next to the plants so the air isn't stale also be careful for any signs of deficiencies if you are not checking PH and using ff/perlite might see lockouts without proper PH

also screw fluros man if you want some dense trees get a 250 or even better 400w mh/hps

I fill my gallon up with tap add all my nutes then check PH hydro you want 5.5-6.1 and SOIL YOU want ranges of 6.3-6.8 this is what I recommend you do or you could get a soil meter and stick it in the soil about half way deep and see what it reads but the PH change is slower and inefficient

also note: I did not mean to scare you about PH if you do not see any Deficiencies you are fine man! I would put my mind to more important things like temperatures and better lighting for your girls

yeah i mean lights, temps, watering schedule are the basics. then go into humidity, nutes, and ph but start with the basics
