Thanks for the solid advice.
I'm just playing around seeing what works for me. I really like the low heat of LEDs so I'd like to gear towards that. To be honest what had kept me tied to HIDs was the spectrum, but that was five years ago and things have come quite a long way.
I've been interested in the cobs, but I'm still learning about them and much more research needs to be done. Although those optic lights seem to have the spectrum on lock.

As for the cmh light, I just thought those would make nice dedicated veg lights for a low cost. Decent spectrum with this as well.

Yea man do a ton of research before deciding. I've wasted so much money getting things here and there that turned out useless for how I grow. Ended up buying all these different nutrient lineups then realized organic growing suited me better, especially being I grow vegetables and now can't use them. I wished before I started I would've researched for months beforehand but got impatient. But u live and learn and sometimes spend a shitload of cash in the process (though that tends to make you figure things out much quicker next go round)

This is my Amnesia Haze Auto--its difficult to tell but the cola is about the lenght and width of a 24 oz can, minus the other smaller colas...super dense and can smell it walking up to my house

This is a Blueberry I have going also. Never tried but heard good things about it.

This is a Northern Lights auto I have just recently harvested. The biggest cola was a little over an ounce alone. Got about 3-4oz from that one.

Fimmed the 5 AG yesterday, will upload pics of them in a week once we can see the recovery.

This is my Amnesia Haze Auto...
That amnesia looks bomb!

Blueberry is on my list, probably be a year away though. Got a few runs that need to happen first.

And yeah I know what you're saying, really gotta have a plan in place before you make your purchases, but sometimes you gotta try it just to see.
That's pretty much what I've been doing with this 1200w led, just seeing how it performs. I'm very happy so far especially for the price, was around 200 cdn dollars. I'll probably still flower with a 600w hps though, unless I invest in a new light before then suitable for flower.
But I really think this light won't cut it. Not enough to penetration especially once they stretch.
I'll probably end up getting one of those optics down the road, first thing I need is an 8" fan and filter.

Yea the smell is unbelievably strong. I've become accustomed to every smell from my plants to where I can't smell them at all anymore besides this one. There is no denying this smell but its a good smell--not skunky..
Thats a good price and I'm sure you'll get some good grows from that light and you're right sometimes just have to experiment and see for yourself.

Here's to hoping its a girl --good luck :-]
Was a male, oh well!
It's too bad as that one definitely had some great genetics in it but what can ya do. Just a freebie anyways.

On the other hand, my 5 feminized Acapulco Gold are looking nice, some yellowing of bottom leaves on a couple so I'm going to start feeding flora nova grow at a quarter strength and see how they react.
