Looks like it may be a bitch to do maintenance to the plants in the back on the wall. But besides that looking good. Would it be helpful to you if you give yourself some space in between the wall and buckets?

Damn that's a nice setup and is doing really good!! In your opinion does the rdwc work any better than the standard dwc? Is it easyer or harder to maintain?

@ pound,

Welcome to the revolution. Being that you ask for opinions i have dropped by to give a few. Your hoods, you have them running in "S" style which is very inefficient. I would turn them all in a straight line to work my fan less and cool the light more easily.

Also, You can get cheap tomato cages at any hardware store and drill 4 holes in the top of each bucket lid and drop them in. Cheap but and all out fix for growing bushes in dwc.

Lastly I would like to say your grow is looking great but the sooner you dump all the additives the better. Run full strength base nutes according to mftrs recommendation and deficiencies will disappear. Additives cost a fortune and are completely unnecessary. I like your choice with 1 part cns17 as I like to focus more on environmental perfection then a magic sauce to fix all problems.

I have not tried the slime tea but I like to run a sterile res. I use calcium hypochlorite (pool shock) to keep the water in crystal clear. I would stay clear of bud candy, hygro or anything that could cause root rot in my hydro systems. Good aeration and sterile res are keys to succesfull hydro grows.

http://www.amazon.com/Arch-Chemical-51109-Shock-1-Pound/dp/B000JWCB06/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1361910292&sr=8-1&keywords=hth+pool+shock

hth pool shock. You mix 1 gram to 1 gallon of water to make the rez clear solution. Then add 1 oz. PER 5 gallons of water EVERY 3 DAYS religiously. If I leave a lid off one of my res for a day or 2 and get some algae I will double the dose to "SHOCK" the water back to clear. my roots are always bright white and calcium hypo is good for keeping ph stable.

Hope this HELPS!

I only ran S ducting to spread the light as much as possible so i could have 14 plants instead of 12.
I was kind of strapped putting this together so its not all ideal.
Idk if i would use tomato cages bc they would grow more vertically. For the next grow i think im going to find a way to rig a netting square like 4" above each bucket so i can remove each one at any time throughout the grow and to keep vertical growth to a minimum.
As for the shock that is just brilliant. I cannot believe i havent heard of anyone doing that before.
way cheaper and smarter than buying a RO system for hydro.
I'll def. be using that next round. is that the brand you use and can it be any type of pool shock?
I'm planning on getting a ppm meter but for now I'm just going by eye so you think if i triple my dose of cns17 from about 30% to like 90% recommended amount that they will eat it all and get the buds fatter? Ive always had luck with keeping doses low but im looking to maximize yield.

not a bad idea. Its actually really quite impossible to get back there at this point.
the only reason i had initially put the system against the back wall was to get more reflection from the lights. I dont think it has helped that much
Next go around i think i will pull it all out a foot or two

In my opinion i wouldnt ever do just buckets of water with airstones. I have never done this method but from what ive learned about dwc so far I feel like if there where just individual buckets that they would get dirty pretty quick and would require much more maintenance than when you have constant circulation. Ive done constant top feed dwc and undercurrent and i can say top feed is good but UC is just much more wide open and can circulate much more water much quicker and has much much less labor than top feed

Your grow looks wonderful! To answer your questions. The hth shock and swim is the only brand I use. Most brands have ph stabilizers that will cause mayhem in your res. I'm sure there are others out there but for the price and effectiveness I continue to use hth.

I may have missed what you said for nutrient strength. I try never to go above 1.2 ec. Some of my indica's have no prob taking 2.0 ec but then flushing and curing is required IME. running the perfect EC level allows me to keep the plants looking happy and no curing or flushing is required.

excellent grow m8 how much are you hoping for yield wise?is it legal where you are?the reason i ask is i limit myself to a couple of plants is because the sh1tty uk laws will be ok if we are found growing a couple of plants but any large ammount and we get fcucked sideways lol, thats why ive chosen to scrog as im hoping to get around 8oz off 2 plants, and hope for even more as im a greedy b4stard,if i get caught with 2-3 plants then i will get a caution and will be able to keep my job but if i grew loads then i couldnt work in my industry again but there is no way i'll ever pay £10 a gram this is what made me start growing,i dont know how to sub or give rep but id do both if i could lol

so this mild deficiency that came up has been spreading rapidly in the Burmese kush and honey bee but mostly burmese
i need some advice my ph stays at about 6 and as it drops my res it dropping in like 6.8 tap water which helps even it out over time.
I added some like 5ml per gal CalMag bc it seemed to be a calmag problem and maybe a potassium def at the time.
it kept spreading over a few days so i added a bottle of CNS17 Ripe over the course of a few days. It kept spreading and is now pretty much at the tops of the burmese
yesterday i added another bottle of CNS17 Ripe (20ml per gal) and the ph dropped more rapidly than usual im guessing bc i added the whole bottle at once assuming it has to be a potassium def. it dropped overnight from like 6 to 5.6 so i think that means its eating it up quickly.
I also added hydroplex about 2 weeks ago with no carb load like Sweet first, so i think that made it try to suck up carbs that werent there which also effected it earlier on. but now i dont see why its small brown spots along the veins all the way up at the top top of burmese.
I also dont see why all the other plants looks healthy as fuck and theyre all eating the same shit.
the ones closest to the res are real healthy so idk if they are grabbing all the nutes before it gets down the line but i dont think that makes sense bc burmese is right in the middle and maple leaf and widow are after it and they are healthy and i have a bigass pump and 1 1/2 in. tubes which circulate very well.
IMAG0009.jpgIMAG0005.jpgIMAG0006.jpgIMAG0007.jpgIMAG0008.jpgIMAG0001 (2).jpg
1.early on the burmese 2.at the top of burmese 3.burmese 4.grape ape(very mild) 5.pineapple(2nd worst) 6.progression of burmese

ANY GOOD ADVICE is appreciated and +rep
I'm growing a bunch of burmese next run and i do not want to run into this problem again. thanks

im HOPING to hit 2 lbs. it is not legal where i am. you can def get 4 oz off each plant check my old CHIESEL journal in my sig i think i got like 4 1/2 oz off that with one 600w and it was my first scrog. and idk how £10 converts to $10 but shit i used to pay $10 a gram but only for SHITTY REG. ive bought hundreds of grams for $20 and thats realllyy standard so count your blessings lol. as for rep its the little badge looking icon under my picture and to subscribe go to the top blue bar and click where it says thread tools then subscribe to this thread

so i found out all my roots looked like this but after hosing them down lightly they cleaned up
i had no idea they had gotten that bad
IMAG0002.jpgIMAG0003.jpg
before..........after

anyways what i ended up doing to salvage my last two weeks of growth was i drained the whole
system, cleaned it, ran 4ml/gal h2o2 for 48 hours, drained, ran ph water for 24 hours then added
1100 ml of CNS17 Ripe. they look to be finishing nicely
also i moved all the plants around after cleaning the system

Also I'm noticing the weirdest thing with my ph
in the res which is on the far right it stay normal like 5.9 now but as you go left bucket to bucket it lowers slightly
until you get to the last 3 buckets on the far left it just goes crazy low
the ph wont even balance on my meter it will jump around like 1.8 then the next second jumps to 4.8 then 3.4 then 2.4 and just keeps jumping!
i think it has something to do with the roots throwing it off but all the other buckets are fine.
just the last two rows of 3 buckets on the far left are crazzzyyyy off and it will not stabilize
I havent been able to find anything similar online for undercurrent so any input??
I plan on running pool shock next time to keep everything sterile as fuckkkk

I kept wondering..when is this guy going to get root rot, when is the rot going to happen...and bam, there it was two posts above.

The grow looks great but quite honestly, putting liquid karma or molassis in a hydro system, especially a UC is playing with fire.

Never ever never add sugars to any kind of dwc dude. Ever. It's crack for microorganisms, and unless you have been adding good, the bads will explode. This isn't book knowledge I'm spewing, it's taken from years of growing and a $20k grow lost to rot simply because I got lazy.

Luckily though your far enough along that it won't hurt too much. It will definitely reduce yield though.

Found that out eventually and not a second too late. Crazy part is that if I wouldn't have added Liquid Karma and all those other additives which led up to the build up on the roots, I swear I could have made it the rest of the grow without draining the system. It all cleaned up nicely and I only have 8 left to cut so I'll have pics by the end of the week
