I have a plant I sptoured 10 days ago and it is growing leaves in sets of three instead of the normal 2. Has anyone had this? How'd it turn out. Good Yield?

It looks healthy and I am hoping this thing is female.

im just a lil confused about what you mean by growing leaves in sets of three.. by this, do you mean that they have three fingers to each leaf, or rather do you mean that off of the main stem, your getting three branches instead of only the normal two?? i'm pretty sure you're talking about the later, but just wanted to make sure first..
if you're talking about the latter, it is not too uncommon of a thing, and is called a triploid, or a polyploid, and that just means that there are more than the normal two branches ... i've heard that some polyploids can be stronger in the potency dpt, and can yield better as well, but nothing concrete to really back that claim up though..

Triploid is what I am talking about. Cool, there is a name for it. Is it some sort of reccesive gene?

YEah mine was a lagger for a couple of days but now she's (hope) right up there with her sisters. I think tripoids would yield more because of the third extra node site for bud growth 33% more growth site theorectically anyways. I wonder if you can isolate the gene. It woiuld be cool to have a pure Double r polypoid BIG BUD strain.

its even been rumored this is what dj short did with his blueberry strain, which would go a long way to answer why that plant tends to have as many problems as it does, but of course dj short has always denied doing such things..
and yah, its a recessive gene.. i'm sure that there must be a way to isolate this trait, same as any other trait, and i would imagine that some breeders have done this.. like i said, its been rumored that dj short has done this type of thing on the bb strain..
