I have a grow tent, GL60L. next to a window for ventilation and about 4 feet away from an A/C unit. just set up today so still fairly new. i have a basic set up; 3 clones, 3 buckets. Air pump with large airstone. How high should the water be in the bucket? should roots be submerged? I have diamond nectar and basic 10-15-10 plant food. Is that ok? best lighting schedule? i have sooo many questions! i'll just start with where i'm at. thanks to all who can help.

I moved the fan too so it has proper air circulation. My strains are 2 indicas and 1 sativa. The sativa is 2 different sour D strains breed together now super sour bud! And the indicas are Romulan Berry, and Bubble Skunk. I've also put an exhaust on the light.

If the roots are hanging thru the net pot , you want the water about 1.5 inches below the pot . I use the 3 part nutes technaflora B.C and a couple additives . Plenty of air to the roots is key to healthy plants , and a correct PH level . And you will need a exhaust fan pulling that air out .

Lil Update. Got a few more fans. One directly on the light to keep cool(works soo perfect), clip on for the plants and a big one outside bringing in fresh air from A/C. Also got better nutrients; pure blend pro grow and cal-mag. also got more hydroton pepples. AND i got a PPM reader. So far i switched the water the soft water with nutrients and perfect Ph levels and PPM readings(500)! Ya i heard i should be using softer light like compact flo. but so far theyve been thriving on this hps. Heres some more pics

Alright i have a small update. I have a nice duct sytem from the light to outdoors. 3 small fans circulating the inside. 1 small fan bringing in fresh air constanly through an upper vent hole. another air pump, so 2 air stones per bucket; 1 large long bar shaped and 1 large cylinder.

So both the little ones i had didn't do that good and both died...so sad. I know what i did wrong though. When i got them from the despensary they were in the lil brown squishy thing i forgot what its called, but they were rooted and loP8040240.jpgoked good but they didnt have a root system built up already. I fed them when they were too young and i gave them no chaP8040241.jpgnce to develop a root system. I should have put them in rock wool cubes to develop better roots then put them in the DWCP8040239.jpg system. I shocked them too much by over watering and too soon feeding.....But now i got some teens that have a root sysP8040237.jpgtem already developed and ready to be transplanted into a hydro set up..Lemon OG, Green Crack and Original #1 Blueberry

I got some great news! the blueberry grew 2 inches! Catchin up quick to the others. This morning the green crack was taller than Lemon OG but now later in the day the Og pushed ahead! They are doin great. Been using lately liquid karma, diamond nectar and some subculture M. The BB is now over 10 inches and the others are at 12 and a half. Seperation on the stems is perfect, the nugs are gonna connect really well.

Yea i recently a few days ago starting my dwc...So far its going good..anything that might help me like advice i would really appreciate..I read the first page you had you said you ppms were at 500 isn't that a little high i'm not a expert or anything but i heard they should be no more than 300 for the first few weeks while the plant is getting use to the dwc system..Thats just my 2 cents..
oh and by the way your grow looks awesome now..

This is my first try at DWC so i did a lot wrong! Yes the PPm was wayy too high at first. They got nute lock for sure. when i got the clones from the dispensary i just threw them in the hydroton with a full size net pot. They didn't have a root system going yet so when i fed them they didn't have correct intake and got nute lock. i suggest smaller net pots for sure. Unless theyre teens in 4 or 6 inch cubes then they would do well in bigger net pots. Since they had no root sytem developed going outwards i would scoop a cup full of their nutes in the bucket they sit in below and pour it around the edge so the roots are able at a young age to search and find water and oxygen. right now the PPM is over 600 for the bigger 2 and 500 for the smaller. I'll try to post a video showing what i do and pics soon.
