newb question... coco/germ

So, yesterday, I tossed my 4 northern lights in a damp paper towel, stuck it in a zip lock, palaces between 2 plates and set it on the water heater... which is warm and not hot. At the same time, I filled 4 solo cups with cyco coco.

My question is about the germination... I have read so much about it and realize that everyone has their own preferred method. Didn't really see anyone saying to plant directly in coco tho. Would I be better off to just pop the seeds into a 1/2" of the coco, get it damp and just let them do there thing? Or let them be, move to my solo cups once the tap root is out? Then let them hang out under 24hr CFLs for a week or so and transplant to buckets in 2 weeks?

Sorry if this is wordy... its just how I'm wired naturally

A lot depends on where the seed is from, how old it is and how well it has been stored.
My seed (Sannies) has really high germ rates (95% plus) so I don't bother with trying to germ in paper.

I soak my seed in a small dish for a day and then plant directly into cell trays with my soil less mix.
From there they go into small pots once the roots set up in the cell trays, so they can be transplanted safely.

Thanks. So I guess when I get home,I'll just go ahead and pop them in the coco solo cups. Should I go ahead and put the under light at that point?

Btw they're nirvana seeds that I just got a few days ago from SoS.

I have no idea about SoS seed quality. Don't need any light until they pop. Do keep them warm and cozy.

SoS is a bank (sea of seeds) I was very impressed for a first timer. Seeds are Nirvana northern lights. The must be OK because I just got home and all 4 have cracked open. So, into the coco they go
