[Newb] UK Outdoor Q's

Hello,

South East England here, I was planning on germinating my seeds 10th May - planting outdoors 13th/14th May. I'm not planting dire in the ground, just using fabric pots.

But the weather isn't look ideal so might wait.

Any other UK Outdoor growers planting this year? If so, when are you planning on germinating your seeds?

I would also like to do a Grow Diary here, I just do that over in the Grow Journals section as a normal post right? Cheers

^Bit confused, I assume you mean germinating 24th April? planting may 15th?

I will be growing Northern Lights auto-flowers btw, should I start germing them now? or tomorrow? What you recommend?

Yes in April. Plant may 24, but l get them out as soon as possible, will live through frost, not direct sunlight, new seedlings need to harden off. I make shades or keep in shady spot till they tell me its ok. No direct sunlight unless came up in sunlight.

Sun will melt the snow off the seedlings.
If I ever get around to it lol I planned on giving them a good start before putting them out, say 3/4 weeks of veg.
I was thinking about soaking them, I'm vegging just now so it's good opportunity, it's the work afterwards that's putting me off, finding a South facing spot out of the way with water near by is tall order.

Backyard, balcony can grow anywhere even if not ideal, center of flat area right on edge of pond would be perfect. It always has water, get huge! 10 lbs of tops possible.

U.K. best bet is autos or hardy photos even then it’s a lottery weather wise never found water being an issue as it pisses down
Also be careful where you grow as drones are used to search for gorilla grows ☮
Try Northern lights early flower quick finish. Would work where you are. Or Church from greenhouse seeds, low thc but resilient.

Thank you! I will be growing in my back garden. Did a half decent one last year for my first grow with blue amnesia. I planted them mid/late april in 2020. So this one I want to wait until mid/late May

I'd like to see outdoor photo grows from 55/56 degrees?
I've only ever seen poorly formed buds that weren't worth the bother that was my primary reason for buying auto's I've just never got around to germinating them yet.
This guy seems to be smashing it out growing outdoors in UK -
Link:

Nothing from my last grow I would consider A-Grade in terms of bud quality. The buds were not dense, very airy. Had 6-7 weeks of no sun in total so they were not their full grown potential, I'd say about 35% of their full potential loool. Weather played a roll, also me never growing cannabis before didn't help them either.

They still smoked fine, all my friends really enjoyed it. Hopefully this year I will do better on my half, and hopefully mother nature pulls through for the UK Outdoor growers this year - fingers crossed. But yh, I wouldn't expect A-Grade buds from outdoor UK grow, Indoor all the way for full control obviously. Probably why most UK weed is grown indoors.

Some pics from last year back garden grow - blue amnesia autos
