Newbe question

At what time during the flowering period, does the little white crystals start to appear on the buds and leaves. Does the strain of the plant have anything to do with the amount of crystals that are on the bud?

Im pretty sure it varies with strain and possibly lights used. At some point or another all plants ( at least female ) will produce these 'crystals' which are resin glands. Ive noticed some as early as 2 or 3 weeks on some high grade strains.

you'll notce the surface of the leafs start to look rough when the glands start to open! thats the start of the process , ive had a plant that started that at the end of the second week! it was cinderella 99 X apollo 11! real nice buzz!

then again there r alot of plants that dont even start till the 4th week or so!!

flowering of course

It's very much strain-dependent, and lighting/environment also plays a part.

You'll start to see them about two weeks into flowering and they will continue to pile up throughout. Some strains produce tons and some not as much. White strains are some blizzard looking strains.

YES!!, crystals are starting to appear on my girls =D (4th week in btw)
