Have recently bought and assembled a Timber 200 watt kit. Works great, do believe it`s brighter and has better penetration then my 300 watt LED`s from a reputable company, that i`ve used for over 4 years and about 8 grows. Will be replacing the 300`s with 3 more Timber 200 kits. Timber Grow Lights and RainDan are real good peeps to do business with. IMO.

Today...is 2 months, well 60 days in 12/12 flower with the grow.
The dogbud(rear right) is pretty much done.
The 2 blue fires...
They are still busy. They are still making white hairs. So they will be left a bit longer.
(That stick light was a gift. It has deep red, blue, IR, and UV in it. It is SUPPOSED to increase sticky...I use it for the last few weeks. Does it work? I use it...)

Start to finish. I'm aware that many folks believe cooler for veg and warmer for flower. I thought that too but seems like lots of successful grows with just one spectrum.

Yeah most folks go with 3500k if they aren't mixing it up. I've been happy with the results so far.

I am about to be the proud owner of a new light built by Rain Dan and the Timber Growlights crew. It will cover my 4x8 flowering space that used to hold 2 x 1000 watt solistek matrix ballast and bulbs . That combo pulled about 20 amps together on startup and 2080 watts. I am replacing that with 4 of the 6 cob 3590 3500k kits with the meanwell 320 1400b power supplies. Also 2 of the 100 watt 660nm deep red kits for extra red and because they are such an outstanding company they are custom setting my lights up with th 730 nm far red for that phytochrome change at lights off. Also this light will run at 7 amps total and over 1500 watts .This light should be pretty amazing and I am super excited to get it and also lower my footprint on the world just a little bit. I will keep you guys posted on my light when I get it hooked up and running.
Thanks Rain Dan for the help with my light

I'm not sure ? I only do a few but I would imagine you could fit quite a few depending on the size of them and growing style

It's because they're made for normal indoor lighting applications, not plant growth. Normally you would want some mild side light in addition to down light. For that they work great. They're not terrible for plant lights, just not the best choice. You could just wrap them in aluminum foil or mylar as a quick fix. Though the light would still have to pass both ways through the plastic to get directed downward. I also don't think 90 degrees is the most appropriate beam angle for a reflector for plant growth anyway. 60 degrees is a nice triangle shape, 90 is like the corner of a square. Why would you need a beam with that wide a spread? If it was 400w you might need such a wide beam, to avoid having to put it 10' feet above the plants or whatever. But with little COBs run at maybe 50w each, I don't think height would be a problem.
Chrome spray paint.
