Newbie First Grow and Harvest...

So I finally made it to harvest! Watched the trichomes and chopped at about 30% ambers. This was my first grow and I'd like to thank the RIU community for all the great advice. Quick synopsis on my first grow. Grow was outside in 1 gal. pots with Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil. Plants were Afghan Kush (Indica) and super stealth at only 12 inches high. I used the Fox Farm trio of nutes. Ran into a major problem at about 6 weeks of flower with one plant (of the two I was growing). Thought I was fighting a deficiency, when I actually had aphids. I used what I thought was an organic pesticide, but it burned up one of my plants and made the buds smell like chemicals. NEVER USE NATRIA FRUIT AND VEGETABLE BY BAYER!!!

I could have salvaged the buds, but I didn't want any of my patients smoking chemicals. So I lost half my yield on one stupid mistake. Anyways, live and learn. I've got more seeds of the same strain, plus two other strains. I'm determined to do much better on my next grow. One quick question. Should I trim my buds wet or dry?

I harvested 5 side colas and one huge main cola. The main cola is super fat and bigger than a bottle of beer. I had a sixth side cola, but I harvested it as a tester bud and it's mega delicious. Still smokin' on it. It's like a skunky pine forest explosion. So tasty. I haven't gotten high in 3 years and when I tested this bud I got super ripped. I wandered around my yard and tended to my vegetable garden and played with the dogs and had a hell of a time. So damn sweet!

Everyone is different. I think its easier to trim wet. Some ppl wait till the plants dry out first. It's ur personal preference

Thanks db602. I trimmed my tester bud wet, so I'm gonna try a dry trim on the rest...

lmao 3 years first high, dude I didn't smoke for like 1 semister in college and I had like sensory overload, buzzing sound of fluorescent lights and tvs making a high pitch noise i felt like i couldn't hear before when i wasnt that high, lmfao was so nuts. Good first grow looks awesome.

I smoked weed for 15 years and then quit for 10 years. Then 3 years ago I got high with my cousin at a family reunion. So up until a couple of days ago, I had only been high once in the last 13 years...
