consider proper ventilation, how to get co2 in, cleaning and sterlization of the room, pest prevention, get familiar with deficiency issues and how to identify them early on. remember you need to seperate spaces to growing, one to veg and one to flower. what are you using for lights? what are you going to use for a grow medium? nutrients? timers? fans? time? pH balanced water for feeding?

Honestly, don't worry too terribly much about CO2 in and stuff. I'd start off growing some bagseed so you can get the hang of it without losing good seeds you paid for. Get some ph strips to test the water you use (if it's tap water, ph balance it to 5.8-6.2 and let it sit over night uncapped and use it the next day.) That way, you can de-chlorinate the water and it'll be balanced. Then you can just keep that baseline and bc your tap water is consistently balanced from the city. For soil, don't skimp out and use miracle grow, go with something from happy frog or foxfarm. Think about utilizing your vertical space to separate your flower and veg spaces if you are trying to do both at the same time. Get a timer for your light but make sure the inlet on the timer is the same as your ballast (easy mistake to make lol). Basically, my advise is to do research. People don't do it enough and just about every question to have or problem you run into has been asked and dealt with before on this or some other forum.
Happy growing!
