Hey folks, like the title says, I'm a total newbie, and after probably two hours of scanning through websites, I can't really find a tutorial that will work for me. I know that the information I'm looking for is probably out there, so if all you have the time for is to provide a quick link or two, even that would be much appreciated.
Anyways, what I wish to do is turn a relatively small area into a low-yield grow space. The area I have available to me is seemingly just right for this, as is the placement of the space. The area itself is within my coat closet- it's a standard closet, except that inside, to the right, it's half closed off- The lower half of the closet is finished off for a wood-storage area accessible from outside the closet.
This leaves me with roughly a 30"W x 48"H x 40"D area to work with.
I can ventilate through the bottom of this space, through said wood storage, into the basement, and then outside the house. This is one of the issues I think I might have- I'm looking at probably 30' or more in ductwork to get outside the house. Is that
going to be a problem? Will I require fans in multiple places to get the venting I need? I'd like the box itself to be air-tight, aside from the ventilation- Will I need an intake duct too?
As for the grow box itself, I'm thinking of having the closet "walled-off." As in, I plan on having it look near-seamless with the rest of the closet. I expect this will leave me with roughly 38" of depth to work with.
I'd probably be rather content with a very minor yield. I'm nowhere near the smoker I used to be- call it two or three grams per week.
So, what are your suggestions? Long ago, I'd read up on scrogging and hydro systems, but didn't really have the opportunities for growing that I have now. What system do you think would work best for me, given that I know relatively little? Any parts lists or plans or that kind of thing would be greatly appreciated.
