Alright so I've been reading over this site the last couple of days it's kind of addicting really like the grow journals... much like amazing feeling you get when you actually "rollitup".

but anyways this is my first post too so I'll go ahead and introduce myself before i ask my questions, My names Mike, I'm 19 and i still live with my parents I've enjoyed smoking since i was 16 years old, recently I've begun to realize a lot more of the better qualities of smoking... not to just get fucked up on the weekends anymore. My new problem though is I'm 19 and i go to college so moneys kind of tight so i went looking on how to grow my own marijuana plants.

which starts my question, I'm very new to growing only thought about it a couple time in the past, my parents don't a approve of it so i kind of need to keep it hidden from them, which i would love to just grow it in my house seems like it would be a lot easier and a better controlled environment to produce better buds... but yeah until i come up with about 300-400 dollars for the supplies to secretly do it in my room, my backyard will work for now or until i get my own place heh... not anytime soon :(

well I'm looking to get something with a nice upper type of feelings, out where i live we don't really get to much besides regos out here and thats beginning to well not really satisfy me as much as it used to then a friend of mine had some really nice looking buds, i just didn't really think to much of it and hit the J and walked away and then maybe 5-10 minutes later i began to feel so "hyper" like i had been drinking jagermister for hours or something the best part was i had made the decision to not drink that night because of driving responsibilities, but from that one hit i felt this very "hyper" feeling stoned for a good hour at least then when i came down i was about ready to pass the hell out. What kind of plants can i get for outside growth that will give me this type of a high and be fairly easy to grow... I'm going to give it a try with some rego seeds when the winter breaks and i think if they make it through the first couple of a weeks I'll go ahead and order some of the nicer seeds.

any little secrets or anything anyone can give me to growing outside, I'm planning on planting my stuff in the farmers field behind my house i think he's planting corn this year so it should work out great for helicopters and whatnot. then what kind of a water schedule should i be on, should i have them directly in the ground or still grow them in pots? the ground around the plant wont always be wet... but should i try and keep it that way? whats everyones favorite fertilizers, and wheres a good place to look for the nutes and PH testers, fertilizers all that stuff, because i found everything i need for inside growth besides all that stuff, and i want to make sure if i grow these I'm going to take very good care of them and pay very close attention to them so that way i can make some really nice buds.

I've been thinking of a couple different seeds like the monkey pal looks nice, mainly because I've heard of it from some older smokers i know and they seem to have some really nice things to say about that bud, then the northern lights always seem like a nice option... then a couple of people i know have grown Blueberries but I'm not really that good of friends with the kids so they wouldn't tell me a whole lot about how and where i should try and grow the stuff they told me though made it sound easy, then I've heard afghans are pretty easy to grow... i have so many questions sorry about the long post, if I'm going to try and grow one i want to make sure it's done right, I've read most of that guide on nirvana-shop.com on how to grow what to use it does have a lot of info I'd still like some info from real people i can ask questions too and stuff. I'm very open minded so anything you have to tell me i will think about completely.

A ‘Mulch’ is any soil covering which protects surface roots and reduces evaporation. The best mulches consist of fine, loose materials that allow water to run through to the soil, and also allow air exchange to the soil and roots.

Most mulches decompose rapidly, leaching their nutrients back into the soil. Composting the mulch before it is applied can help speed up the process, or by adding a small amount of fertilizer. Most mulches will completely break down with one year.
