Tip: Pictures
Tip: Start flowering your plant, it only shows sex during flowering. Switch your light cycle to 12/12.
Tip: Only two CFLs, but Foxfarm soil? Seems unbalanced. Grab more lights, especially for flowering.

how far away are the lights from the plant? have any pics? how big is the plant? how big and what spectrum are your cfls? A plant will mature and show preflowers and start alternating nodes during vegative growth, dont try to flower until that point, it just wastes time, a fully mature plant will jump right into flowering mode while one thats not mature will kind of stall out as it finishes vegging and force matures itself.

you need alot more light alot closer. after 3-4 inches cfls lose almost all their effectiveness. i keep mine 1/2-2 inches from the plant. do you have a fan blowing on the plants and lights in there?

if your in veg u probly wont see any pre flowers in soil until about the 8 week mark , u could always put your lights to 12/12 now and start flowering to find sex

Do not start 12/12 till the plant is mature and ready to be flowered. I dont know why some people think thats a good idea......(to flip before its ready)

OK so i just added two more cfl's to my lighting and was wondering if i have enough light now on my crop. both bulbs are 23watt=100watt sunlight spectrum. i would appreciate any and all responds on the lights and what you think in general about the grow. thanks a lot PICT1167.JPGPICT1169.JPGPICT1168.JPG

You have plenty cfl's on her to veg her for as long as you want to. The trick is getting them as close to the tops of the leaves without scorching them 1.5 to 2 inches away... It will make her nodes grow tighter together and will grow stronger and fatter as a result. I myself veg. with cfl's and they do a beautiful job with the right enclosure and environment. You might consider, if you have the space, an enclosure to control temp., humidity, and light cycles ( referring to total darkness during nighttime hours for her). These are all major factors that will determine how serious you wanna get... and how big and beautiful she will get.... Especially when it comes to the final stage of flowering. I personally feel that cfl's don't do the proper job for flowering, but it can be done with them for sure :)

Right on bro i am looking for a cabinet of some sort that way i can turn that in to my grow room but its down in my basement right now no windows for true daylight to seep in. i have a ceiling fan that i run for the plants it does the job for now but i do want to get this grow room going before i start my 2nd grow.

Subscribed I am interested in this grow cause this is alot like my grow that i just started, I would consider getting a enclosed space to do it in, like i have mine in my basement closet so it works out perfectly

well i just am germinating my seeds right now and plan on using 3 40 watt cfl 27k high lumen then i am going to be using scotts seeding soil mixed with scotts perlite so half perlite half seeding soil. My setup is very basic im going to be using my closet in the basement with a fan blowing at the plants then a dehumidifier.
