I am growing the MJ for myself, for medical purposes. I have several major health issues and got my green card in April, but before that I was doing a LOT of research online. I am putting that into practice, but it's a lot of info to absorb and put to use properly. I have started a grow journal HERE if anyone is interested in going over what I have done, and am currently doing. Looking for any and all advice about growing some good bud!!!

Please be respectful & patient as I am new to growing MJ, harvesting, drying, curing, well the WHOLE process really. Thanks for any advice!!

Besides all the reading and research you've done, experience is the best teacher. nice little grow you've got there, you're doing something right.

Thanks, always good to know I seem to be on the right track. The semi-disasters from my first grow have all been used as hard lessons. All the reading, etc, didn't prepare me for reality . So my second grow is going to be THOROUGHLY documented, so that if anything goes wrong I'll have copious notes and other documentation. Thanks again and happy harvest/growing... :leaf:

Nice little grow where? I don't see a single pic.

Dude, old eyes have a hard time finding cute embedded links. But nice plants!

I have changed the link so that it is more readily distinguishable from the rest of the text. I'll have to remember that because even I thought that my link was not there and tried to add the link a second time... So, yeah, link changed, mental note to work on link visibility, and hope you enjoy the show. And thanks for the compliment to my girls. They are just loving it in that little room.

Well my girls have been growing into some nice beautiful bushy little shrubs. I would like peoples best guess as to when (roughly) is the best time to switch to 12/12 with these girls. They are showing nice short fat leaves of Indica, so I'm thinking the plants will double in size roughly (if I'm remembering things correctly). But that said I would like to get the right balance between me wanting to get about an oz for each girl, and them having enough space for such an optimistically modest harvest. The rough size of the plants (they are all now approximately the same size) now is about 12-14 inches across, and 5-6 inches height, but with considerable lateral growth. All (even Elvira who was accidentally topped) are reaching the edge of their containers, and are in need of some re-training again. I have an educated guess that about 2 more weeks of veg at 20/4, should be large enough for my purposes. But since I am still learning, and I am guessing, I'd like to hear other peoples educated guesses as to an approximate switch time to 12/12. Not asking for absolutes or perfection, just some general ball park figures, or confirmations...

Any help is greatly appreciated. I may know a lot about growing from reading/watching. But actually doing a grow from start to finish, all under the same roof so to speak is new, and is going to be taking me awhile before I am fully confident. I may have some knowledge, but I have little practical growing skills yet, I just need a few good grows under my belt and then I'll be feeling the appropriate confidence.

Anyway, let me know what you think, how far/much do you let them veg out to before going 12/12:?::?::?:
