I dislike that mentality. We, as humans, (especially lovers of the ambrosia) should share all advancements. Someone else can push their design further and help them out. Multiple perspectives and ways of thinking push things beyond what we believe to be their limits. This is how progress is made. Secrets make baby Jesus, whose power level was measured to be 1 at birth, cry while he's in the nursery next to baby Muhammed, whose power level at birth is 10,000.
That's why you just gotta boycott those who Bogart.
Exceptional cultivators are not allowed to keep strains, techniques, or information to themselves. It's a rule, trust me, but I didn't make them.

i agree with you on this, how do we plan on advancing as a whole is everyone is scared to share.. damn the monetary system keeping us all huddled inside closed off from the world, OPEN SOURCE helps everyone

If I knew anything about lights, electricity, optics and all that good stuff i wouldn't hesitate to get a handful of the 300w diodes and mix the color and built one myself. But I'm not about to toss up $1000 into something i don't know if i can put together. Damn you public schools!!!! But just think 15 300w diodes running on half power thats still 2250w of power. That'll light up my closet.

Im pretty sure you'd get better functionality out of this if you made a series of 40w panels to expand your coverage area rather than a 300w unit that'll cover minimal space. You'd also be better off using 40w since you can combine multiple wavelengths into the same fixture by mixing and matching. You should check out kessil's website they have decent info on which wavelengths work best and last I i checked they also had the ratio of red:blue. I'd check for you but im browsing on my phone right now and it just about shit itself trying to load kessil's site for some reason.

Damn dude i really hope you make that light i was just thinking about if it would be possible to make your own/why good LEDs are so expensive.
Used to work for best buy and let me tell you as far as tvs go OLED kicks ass because it can reproduce any color imaginable. However like you said they arent any brighter than LED so i think for our purpose they wouldnt really be necessary .

^^ I think they have red and blue because those are what MJ uses the most to grow however if he makes a white LED it will have both red and blue and then all the other colors (wasting Wattage but should work fine).
