Nitrogen deficiency week 4 flowering question

I was underfeeding nitrogen (hardly any at all) during the transition and flowering stretch, which led to a lot of my lower growth yellowing on my rapidly stretching Rollex OG Kush. At week 3 I corrected this, by adding 1.5ml/gallon of GH gro to my bloom nutes, and cut away all of the leaves that were beyond repair.

Now it's a week later. The yellowing hasnt really advanced since then. The leaves that were half and half don't seem to be getting better though. I am just starting week 4 of flowering. I plan to feed again in a few days.

Should I continue feeding with extra nitrogen? Or assume the N is replenished enough, and carry on with just bloom?

Was reall impressed to see those plants thinking you only had those cfls hanging, then I spotted the LED setups above. Running them staggerred or something interesting?

Last grow it was strictly those LEDs above two plants. This time I wanted to do the same thing, except adding CFLs into the mix. Interested to see the difference in yield and nug density. Had a lot of fluffy nugs last time, hoping this might fix that.

Plus, another 250w of a different light spectrum cant hurt!

snip those dying leaves, your plants look awesome!
begin feeding flowering nutrients per instructions. if you feel better about adding nitrogen best to use
something like kelp/fish/seaweed at this stage once or twice for the win.

Thank you

Yup. Already snipped most of the lowers you can see the recent photos.

I added an extra ml of nitrogen to my last 2 waterings to hopefully replenish them a bit. Strictly sticking to bloom now. I dont want extra N to fuck with my bloom.

Hopefully all goes well.

is it standard to snip yellowing leaves? I thought the plant is transporting nutrients elsewhere while it cannibalizes the leaf.

Probably better to only snip when they get more chlorotic. I snipped the ones in really bad shape. More Brown than yellow and pretty much just fall off, as in they had been used up.

My mistake was stopping N altogether once I switched to 12/12. Should have dosed for another 2 weeks. The tall girl showed more yellow since she stretched so much

I fed some N the past two waterings and the yellowing has stopped spreading. Resuming bloom only feeding now.

Funny how everyone tells you something different. Plenty on Reddit were telling me I was overwatering. Wasn't the case.

Appreciate the input but I dont think that was the issue... feeding plenty of calmag+. Something like 4mL per gallon. Plus I don't have that green skeleton look that magnesium deficiency tends to get where everything but the veins are yellow.

If a few spots on those older leaves are persuading you in that direction, it's only because theyre fucking super old and I did have a slight calcium (or possibly magnesium) deficiency 2 months ago. It was corrected shortly after.

You can see on this photo: https://i.imgur.com/tyFlQRY.jpg - Those are literally the same leaves, just months ago. Look at the deficiency in the top, older leaves. Brown spots.

Old leaves, old news. New growth looks great.

Quite sure the culprit was Nitrogen. I was light with N during veg, and stopped feeding N the minute I changed to 12/12. I should have kept feeding to help the plant make it through the stretch. Especially since by then, my soil was depleted of nutes.

Are you running nutes at full strength? I run GH Floraseries 3 part nutes and was not at full strength into week 2 going into week 3. Had the same problem. Just ran my nutes full strength added a little calimagic and it all cleared up. I run promix hp in 5 gallon pots drain to waste too feedings. Just a possible suggestion

I would be very careful with the nitrogen but you still need to use a little bit during your late flowering. Although your plant will continue digesting it for weeks so this is a good question my plants are in a similar stage but I have not stopped nitrogen since flowering started 5 weeks ago. I was planning on it but I don't know if I am now

I'm somewhere around 50-60% of the drain to waste numbers right now at week 3-4 of flowering. GH trio + liquid koolbloom.
I've been led to believe 50-80% is a nice point to settle at regarding liquid nutes, GH trio mainly.

I just didnt feed enough Nitrogen during veg, and stopped aburbtly when i flipped to flowering. Should have kept with the GH Gro for another 2 weeks or so. Just as you'd suspect, the plant that stretched another foot is the one that got the yellow leaves. It needed nitrogen to stretch so it devoured its lower leaves.

I gave it a strong N dose the past 2 waterings. I'll probably lower and taper off in the next week or two. No need for N after week 5 or 6. I want some leaves to be devoured and the nutes to be consumed by harvest.

If nitrogen levels are your only problem then you doing pretty good. My biggest problem is waiting I want to pick these gorgeous Buds and smoke them right now haha
