1 Northern Lights, 1 'Pre-98' Bubba Kush, and 1 Super Silver Haze.

So far the clones are about a couple weeks old and I have already Fim'd them. This grow I am utilizing Nat Moon's Air basket the entire grow to see the effects through vegetation.

Supplies

3 - bubble wands
3 - 4" Pots with holes
1 - Air Pump (supports 30 gal tanks)
1 - Length of tubing
1 - Splitter
1 - 250 HPS
1 - Fox farm line

These things are great, they even sell them in a larger size that's completely flexible. I'll buy one of those for the transplant and have it spiral throughout the entire pot.

Basically comes down to a dollar per potential gallon for the pump. for 6 plants i'll use 2 of these. These pumps are suitably made for tanks of water, so account for how much soil weighs etc.

Sweet, just what I was looking for. I can even regulate how much air a plant gets just in case the roots...don't want oxygen?:? probably won't need that function but meh.

self explanatory.

A couple shots of the new setup in action.

I'll be updating weekly probably due to my laziness. Everyone is welcome comment or question, please keep it somewhat related. Enjoy the grow.

Theres the setup. The northern lights and bubba kush were bought a little bit later than when I took the SSH clone, so they'll need to fill out that dixie cup a little more before I get them going in the air pots.

More pics later this evening. Enjoy the grow show.

just trying to help those net pots are awsome but you might want to cut a little bigger holes in the bottom so you can have bigger roots .and it will grow faster.those net pot restrict them alot.just like 1 or 2 you will see the fat root go threw the bigger hole.Im telling you, you wont believe the difference.

Im confused . The holes in these net pots are so big that I wouldn't be able to hold soil in them if I cut larger.

Quick pick update. The super silver is exploding growth, I cant wait til the other two have more roots formed. Next watering perhaps they will be put in the airpots and hopefully a couple months from now i'll have natmoon spears shooting through my setup as well.

Yeah man all looks good so far.
I hope it all works out for you this time.
I use disposable dehumidifiers in my grow room during flowering to prevent mildew on the buds.

If your only using a 250watt hps try getting it about 5-6" away from the tops of your plants if you can.
Best of luck with it anyway and thanks for reffering to my journal and my ideas,it is appreciated:peace::joint:

Thanks for taking a peek at the grow. Lack of humidity seems to be more of an issue where I live. I wish i could get the light that close, however, it's already summer in california it seems. The temps in the veg closet are close to 90. I need to invest in some better circulation. Thanks for the tips

About 3 weeks in from roots showing on SSH. The BK and NL are a little more than 2 weeks old.

It's pretty damn hot already in California. I had to switch the lighting cycles to come on at night or else temps in the setup are 90+

The growth on the SSH is so explosive with the air, I was dying to get NL and BK in their airpots. I cut open the dixie cups and the root formation was beautiful looking. Transplant time. Enjoy.

Wow so much has happened... 4/20 and.... I can't really remember much else. Good thing I took pictures.
Besides making excellent Pot Cookies and smoking fine herb...

I've been taking care of the 3 kiddies.
I'm pretty happy about this grow so far. Watering almost everyday 500ml of distilled water with 1/2 ml Hygrozyme. Ph is at 6.8 in the soil. Less talk more Pictures.

As of the 17'th:

BK

NL

As of today the 25'th:

Hey man looks like you had a great 420 time.
I liked the look of that blue weed, was it blue satellite?
On a different note temps wherever you live is not an issue in the lowering of the lights.
Getting your hps closer to your plants is essential.
Aim for 6-8" away from the tops or you will never get the kind of growth and development that you are hoping for.

To achieve this place a fan near to and blowing across the tops of your plants and make sure that it also blows across the light bulb.
Do not have this fan oscillating just blowing straight.
This will prevent heat build up and stop your tops from burning and keep the bulb cooler.
I have my 400watt hps 8" away from the tops during flowering so you should be able to manage to get the 250watt that you have about 6" away with no worries:blsmoke:

Yes a good time indeed. The camera does very little justice for this weed. It was actually dark purple, I havn't seen a purple variety quite this dark ever. Perhaps they blew an air conditioner all over this plant lol. The strain was called Humboldt Purple Kush.

So as long as air is moving it doesn't matter how hot it is? As of right now I have a fan already blowing under the light at the distance it is at and it's still reading 90+ for the first 4 hours the lights come on (since it's in the afternoon now). I'll lower it a little today and see if they start showing any signs of heat stress. Thanks nat.

So that was a nice heatwave here in cali. 95 degrees outside and my setup had temps in the 100's at moments in the day. Thankfully it was time to harvest mary. So the new kids are in the tent with all the fans, the 400 W HPS, both air pumps and the 100W t5. Temps are mid 80's - low 90's which is as good As it gets for right now.

Here are some pics of the transition.

So I had an extra airpump after the harvest. I just used the same T-splitter and routed it to the other side of the 3-way gang valve. Now both are running and hopefully these roots will love the added O2.

Heres the sunhut from the outside. I used the extra chain that is hanging from the 400W and hung the T5 right behind it.

Can't forget the sponge bob gardening set.

And here are the kids. Week 3 for BK and NL, SSH a little more than a month. I'm going to let them veg probably for another two weeks after I transplant.

Yeah man looks really cool.
Nice clean pro looking room.
I like the 2 fans that are blowing onto them with the t5 light rack behind.
Best of luck with it:blsmoke:

Hey nat, appreciate the interest. It felt pretty good cleaning out the tent and sanitizing it. Feels like a fresh start... Would it be worth it to get a metalhalide bulb at this point... That light is complete with a switchable balast. Ill do whatever it takes to get those sativa spears you had in your grow.

So I got an MH bulb for the duration of this grow. Everything was going swimmingly...

Until....

So this plant is sucking up 1/2 liter of water daily... I watered at 10 AM friday morning and return at 8 AM Saturday to discover this :(

I watered the plant and hoped for the best, not much has changed... The leaves are crispyish, but still green. The top nodes feel like they are still alive but I don't think it's going to make it... Anyone ever seen a plant survive this kind of underwatering?
