What was a top national security aide to Vice President Dick Cheney doing in Georgia shortly before Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili's troops engaged in what became a disastrous fight with South Ossetian rebels -- and then Russian troops?

Former Vice President Dick Cheney reiterated his praise for waterboarding Al Qaeda terrorists , calling it a "well done" technique that gathered valuable information from unusually bad guys. Damn hope nobody does that to our troops for information, but how would he know anything about that seeing as he never served.

It seems you're still stuck on the whole bush/cheney thing. They are out, we don't need to worry about them anymore. Why not focus on the injustices of today?
If we can do something to get information from a terrorist, then we should do it. They are the ones who saw off American's heads with dull knives. I don't see anything wrong with dunking their face in water.

but seriously torture does not get reliable information. they will say what ever you want just to get out of the situation.
Have you ever been surfing and taken under a large swell. It feels like you are being drowned and if im not mistaken being forced under water would give the same sensation but in a more hostile environment. Im not saying that intense interrogation is wrong simply that putting the fear of death into someone produces information (whether its false or true depends on the guilt of the detainee) but to know that you need concrete proof to use torture and if you have that proof why do you need the confession. Its immoral and you know it. The feeling of being drowned is never easy to cope with.

You act as if I supported the guy. You can disagree with his politics, but to call him a terrorist? With this mindset, why isn't obama a terrorist? That's just ignorant and immature. What do you hope to gain by going after cheney? Why don't we investigate all former presidencies then? Are you going to wait until obamas out of office to investigate him too? Your focusing your attention on something that has already happened, that your blind to what is happening now.

How can you see all the wrong the bush administration did, and not see what obama is doing? You would rather play the partisan game, whatever the republicrats are doing is wrong, and whatever the demoncrats are doing is right. OPEN YOUR EYES. Politicians are corrupt, I don't need you to explain to me how horrible bush/cheney were, I need you to open your eyes and see that obama is no different. It's not that hard to understand.

Our interrogation methods work. It's not like we let them go after they confess. We go off of leads, and if they are right, then great, if not, we do it again until they tell us the truth. They don't give us the same respect we give them. We feed them three meals a day, we allow them to conduct their religious practices. They are probably better off in an American detention center then they are in the hell hole they call a home.

how do you know what the truth is until you have concrete proof? They WILL tell you whatever you want to hear be it true or not. That sounds like an awful lot of wasted funds from a guy so concerned about deficit. Just saying jack for that amount of expense why not just pop em in the field to disrupt activities instead of interrogating for years to chase semi fruitless claims. BTW nearly 80% of the "detainees" were not actually captured by US forces rather turned over to us by which ever local sheik or warlord had a grudge against them. interesting huh.

also thats a pretty ignorant claim that their home is a hell hole:fire:. Have you LIVED there and been acclamated to their customs? Speaking anthropologically you could say america is a hell hole from their point of view. Once again not condoning any terroristic or treasonous activityjust saying that unless you...... holy shit side note if any one is watching HBO robin williams just did an "anonymous" (by semi-blurring his face) commercial advocating the legalization of pot. He said "I live here and see fields of marijuana growing and creating revenue. Why not just legaize it? Have you ever seen some one say Im going to beat your ass (raises one fist as if to hit you and pretend tokes a joint in the other hand all the while semi choking.) then laughs and says just legalize the use already." more or less a quote :leaf::leaf::bigjoint::bigjoint:
