No light for 1 day what will happen (in flowering)

the time broke last week and the light was out for 1 or 2 days i soon fixed it and they looked fine but today it has happened again the timer has gone out (reset itself) and has had no light for the whole of today i am now waiting untill its time to turn them back on back to the usual time at 0200 tonight what do you think this will do ? will it make them more crystally or will it delay them by a few weeks or will they have a shorter life ? please help im worried about my girls.

Most likely it will do nothing. But you really need to make sure it stops happening. Too many light issues can cause the plant to hermi.

Think of it this way: your plant is outside. A monstrous storm comes through and pours rain for 36 hours straight. No photosynthesis is going on, that's for sure. This is the equivalent of your light being out for a day (or even two). The thing that will fuck your plants up is not too much dark, but too much light. I agree, though, that you need to fix the problem because continued irregularity is not going to optimize your grow.

Just let them turn on at the usual time. The extended dark wont hurt. Either get a few backup cheap digital timers, or invest in a good intermatic mechanical timer.

They will be fine. Last year there was a forest fire where I live and lights were off for 2 weeks while we were evacuated and the girls made it, lost A LOT of weight but survived and no hermies. They ripened up just didnt fatten, it was really crazy.

I ONLY use Intermatic mechanical time switches for my HID's. Quit fucking around trying to cheap out and no digi's. The Intermatics are the AK-47's of timers.

We have one for a yard light that has been in service for over 35 years. Still going strong.
