No time to flush!!!

Extreme newbie here with first grow... I finally got my pocket microscope in the mail and got a good look at trichomes. Well it looks like the plant is ready TODAY!!!.... the trichs are mostly all cloudy with a few amber ones. I was hoping to harvest earlier rather than later because I want the more "heady" energetic high. I just feed 2 days ago with RAW Bloom and a shot of Cal-Mag. I obviously can't wait the proper 2 weeks to harvest while I flush. Can I harvest without flushing? If so, will my bud taste terrible?

flushing is for stupid stoners who don't know better. dry and cure properly and it will be as good as the genetics and your growing skills are.

Surprisingly, people here will argue all day and night about whether or not flushing is a smart idea at the end of a run, but you'll figure it out for yourself along the way. My opinion is to feed it straight water for a week, I think your trichomes can accommodate the few extra days.

If you prefer a heady buzz then my advice is to acquire a strain that provides this, as opposed to manipulation via harvesting too early or late. And flushing is more relevant to proper growth than to proper harvest.

Wait for the plant to be fully mature and do a good job drying and curing, you should be fine.

I've cut plants that we're fed two days ago and plants that just had water last week and there wasn't much of a difference in smoke.

I noticed a bigger difference in my buds that were either dried too fast vs buds that dried at a nice slow rate. Obviously the slower dry and cure offers a better tasting end result.
