so ive decided to set aside growing reefer. its alot of work and takes to long for my liking. so ive decided to move onto cloning. my question for the experts is after my clone has rooted should i take the dome off right away or leave it under for a few more days ? with my method i get roots within 9 days but ive noticed that when i put the roots in trays w/o domes some babies start to wilt and even die. could this also be because im not keeping the pucks wet enough ? any help is appreciated

After clones root under a humidity dome...they sometimes need to harden off. You do this by removing the dome and exposing your clones to more light. If the clones begin to wilt after a while in the open air....put the dome back on.

Repeat the process until the clones stand tall on their own with no dome. Wilting clones are common. You can even buy "no-wilt" for your clones. Most of them you just spray on the clones after making the cutting to prevent wilting.

Hope that helped. :blsmoke:

From my experience BSI is right Dub-Azn. Clones take extra attention. Sometimes they will begin to die from too much light as well because it takes the plants energy into creating more food instead of creating roots.

BSI I've decided to quit helping, every chance I get, you're already here lol.

thanks BSI :D thats kinda like what ive been doing. except in a tray of 50 clones not all of them root right away so i separate the rooted ones out of the dome and let the other ones go till rooted ... and the rooted ones i put on 18 hour lighting on a timer. i also noticed that some of my hashplant babies leaves are turning yellow is this because of too much humidity ? they rooted so i put them out of the dome then they wilted so i put them back and sprayed the dome and plants and today lookin like i mise well throw em away cause we all know nobody likes using wilted yellowy babies

Sometimes they yellow as they basically "eat themselves" to push out roots, if they root the next set of shoots will be fine.
