Noob question for the day.

My plants have hit 30 days since sprout. I would like to start LST since they are 12” tall at this point.
My question is should I remove all of the large fan leaves before LST or just leave them alone?
All comments are appreciated.

leave them alone and tie it down. LST is low stress training. what you are thinking of is pruning. pruning i believe is HST - High stress training. unless you are willing to fuck up your own plants and see the results of your actions then do as you please.

what i did was i topped, let it grow out, LST'd, then wanted to play around with pruning a little but wasn't confident enough to fully prune them so i did a half ass prune. this grow was abused thus why i even attempted and i was doing it to try and reduce humidity build up as that is a major issue for me. trying to grow cheaply without running a bunch of things like an AC and Exhaust and a Dehumidifier

Agreed, top for height, LST and tie to open them up and level the canopy everything else (lollipopping, supercropping stock splitting or any other high stress training is just stoner pseudo science)

whatever you do DONT untie them like i did. i tried to untie them to see what would happen cannopy got fucked up on one plant 3 of idk like 8 tops are super tall the rest is all over the place XD the plant kinda looks like a trident now. i cant retie them either already flowering them and the plants stem is getting harder so only possible way to bend it down is if i super crop it

stoner pseudo science
I call bullshit, lmao
I haven't tried stock splitting, but have done everything else, it's not "pseudo science", it works, and works very well.
Top at the 4th node, then when side branches have grown out, top everywhere you can again, side branches as well. Let it grow a couple weeks then supercrop to flatten the canopy.
You'll have on average 20 to 30 or more bud sites that will produce.
It will look something like this. I've already taken 20 clones off this plant a week ago and it
still has a lot of bud sites left.

Have seen people get 10lb out of Northern Lights and Skunk strains from proper trimming.
