noob questions

so I have 8 cxa 3070-30g-ad-ooa2 chips and heatsinks I am not sure which drivers to go with I have built 1 led before I used 3 vero 29s with a meanwell hlg185h-c1400. I wanted to get 3590s but 3070s are what I ended up with. what should I do?

It depends on how you have your cobs spaced and how hard you want to drive them. You could get 2 - HLG-240H-C1400 and drive them at 50w each or you could get 2 HLG-120H-C1050 and drive them at 35w each. Not sure if those 4 cobs will fit on one HLG-185H-C1400 but I know they fit on the 2 drivers I mentioned.

would a 120h-c1050 drive 4 chips per driver? if so I will probably go with that solution and keep my 3 vero 29s at 1400 I think that config will work good for a 4x4. I will probably go with the 3590s for my other 4x4 unless there is a better chip to use than that one. ive had a great experience with my vero 29s so far

Yep 4 will fit on one driver. Here's a chart if you' d like to reference it.

16 cobs (almost any) in a 4'x4' space run at 1050ma is over 900ppfd.

this is correct. even the cheapest cobs hang +/- 10% with the best below 50W

thanks guys I have the 2 drivers on order I'm going to have 3cree cxa 3070s on 36 inch bars and 1 on either side of a 16 inch bar of(3) vero 29s driven at 1400mAh
