Ok, I'm sure this will result in a whole lot of "lolnub" replies, but it's a serious question.
I've been smoking pretty much forever, but it came from a bag. I didn't see or care what was what. If it was in the bag, it got smoked. Simple as that. But I've been eating hamburgers my whole life too, and I still don't know what part of the cow they came from. (And I probably don't want to know which part of the cow to be honest lol)
Obviously, the buds themselves are the best part, but which parts contain enough actual THC to catch a reasonable buzz?
Here's the parts I can identify from my noob perspective. Please correct any of my definitions that are inaccurate.
Cola: The top flower
Bud leaves: Probably the wrong term, but refers to the small leaves growing directly next to the bud, actually touching the flowery part. (ie - not the big ol' weed leaf in the posters) I'm refering to the leaves that (if they were so inclined to do so) could wrap themselves around the flower/bud. Basically the ones so close that they act as the "outer petals" of the flower without any branches actually having to move or grow.
Stem: The actual vertical trunk of the plant
Branch: The horizontal branches that lead to the big ol' iconic fan leaves
Fan leaves: the stereotypical "5 leaf" ones
Node: Along the branches, there are splits. At each of these junctions, there is typically some sort of growth.
Non-cola buds: I'm referring to basically any flower other than the biggest one at the top.
Roots: Garbage as far as I know.
Ok, now that that's out of the way, does anybody have quality pics with some photoshopped arrows or circles that clearly identify which parts to keep and which parts are essentially garbage (or butter)? I've looked all over (including the various other sites) but can't find that, as it seems to be assumed that everybody knows at least that much. (Never underestimate the power of noob. LOL)
I ask because sooner or later it'll be harvest time, and I'd rather look like a moron NOW instead of doing it wrong and regretting my foolish pride LATER.
Note that this is for personal use, so crap is still good enough in a pinch... Just don't want to waste time smoking any parts that are definitely of no use whatsoever in terms of actually catching a buzz.
