Normal Auto Size?

So this is my first grow and I went with Gary Webb (White fire X Atom Splitter) and I'm wondering if the size my plants are normal. I'm not mad at their size lol but I want to know if maybe the strain is typically large and what I can do to keep them at their current size. Should I remove some of the excess leaves near the bottom?20170908_231806.jpg

Hey bro they look great but as mentioned before we are in the same boat in terms of size. Their week 5 right? At least their an indica dominant strain so height wise shouldn't be too tall but they may branch out a lot. I'm no expert so hopefully someone who has grown this before or more experienced can help you. All the advise I've had has been not to stress autos with topping them etc. So not sure what defoliage would do.

Anyone else want to help?

Oh. Have read the height growth should slow down after week 6 if that helps.

Got this from another site regarding autoflowers in general:
Weeks 4 - 6. The plants are now entering a pre flowering stage. During this time the plants should exhibit explosive growth

Weeks 7 - 9. By now vertical growth has stopped and the switch to flowering nutrients has been made.

there are no excess leaves. they all power the whole plant. with auto's its plant and grow, not much toppings or trimming is rec'd but you can contain it with a screen, bend, tie, train it too. I've seen people flatten the branches to the ground with
buds growing up from them.

Before it starts flowering you can apply weekly foliar kelp spray to reduce stretching.

Thats a nice auto! Are u sure this is your first shot at one? lol

Autos dont like to be messed with but yours looks pretty good to go. Id say let them come off as they yellow up but if u feel that u must take some off id do it a few a day kind if thing. Not all at one shot.

If shes at 5 weeks then she should be flowering soon and like any cannabis plant it will about double in size. U can LST and maybe scrog her if u have the room.

Won't hurt to take a couple of the crunchy leaves off the bottom. Put the shorter ones on something to even the canopy out and let them go from the looks of the pic you still have plenty of room

Yeah I have some room to play with still. They are starting week 7 today so hopefully they are done stretching.
