Looking really good Arch. Are you a bit of a PC builder by the way? (the whole cable management thing. lol)

I read that CFL's do better placed sideways. None the less, you're doing awesome just the way you have it set-up.

Looking forward to seeing more progress.

Subbed by the way!
Awesome Cheap Basterd! Thanks man..glad to have you sitting in the gallery. As for the pc building thing...lol..does it show? The computer I am using at the moment is my fourth build. There is a place for everything and everything should be in its place with me. Can I hear an OCD? Hope that correlates well to growing weed. Im still trying to store all of the info swirling in my head...This grow is helping me ground it. I find that I do better with my hands on it rather than just reading it.

Edit: I have read the same thing CD and my thought process is this. The plants are not totally straight vertical or horizontal. That being said, if these lights emit best 90 degrees from the side, having them at 45 degrees to the surface of my plant on the top lights actually exposes them to more light. Now the new light set up that I have utilizes both straight up and down for side lighting and lower plant light exposure and 45 degrees on the top lights giving the best light exposure from that direction as well. Thanks for the input brother...the more angles that i get presented with the more I think. The more I think the better the process gets...many heads are better than one.

Peace,

Keep up the great grow. The plant is a beauty!

Fingers crossed that she stays that way. Hardest part for me is not fucking with her to much and letting the plant do her thing. I got lights, temp, circulation, water and nutes covered..I got to let her do what she does best.

Thanks man,

i found out, believe or not that the bright whites run cooler than the soft whites, in my veg box when i unscrewed the soft, the temp dropped 3/4 degrees. i was running 2 27 watt brights and one 23 watt soft.

Right on man. I will continue to monitor the temps to make sure they stay relatively stable. I run the box during the day slightly open. Helps also with circulation. I dont think that it effects the light coverage at all..they are set up to maximize emissions towards the plant. Thanks CD..gives me some more food for thought.

Your "Wife" looks luscious Arch!

I think the answer to the OCD question is: Yes! OCD does corrolate with growing. Seamlessly. lol.

Took a few more pictures. She really liked yesterdays watering with the nutes and molasses. She grew another inch pretty much overnight.

I have used a few more ties to hold down some of the lower branches to keep getting more light more light inside. Seems to be working.

Based on her size, are there any suggestions on when I should send her into a 12/12 light cycle. Has anyone had any experience with putting her into total darkness for anywhere from 24-36 hours before going to 12/12.

Shes still looking good so Im happy for that. The first picture is from yesterday for reference sake.

Question,

Based on the plant I have, does anyone think I will need to transplant this grow? Its a 4 qt pot, 8 inches across, 8 inches high?

Hey man,

your setup looks pretty awesome. I like the hooks you got going on on the ceiling. I'm building a chest for myself right now and I'm thinking of installing slatwall or similar inside to have the versatility to move and secures the lights. Thanks for taking the time to post your setup. Any smell issues you've experienced with your setup? I am looking for a modest setup for my personal use so I was curious how you were making out with a CO2 filter and stuff. I was thinking of using a cedar cabinet, hopefully the smell of cedar will cover the weed (probably just wishful thinking though)

grow. I am already addicted. I saw many set ups for cfl using light bars and overhead reflectors and I determined that for me, I wanted the most versatility that I could possibly get. The way I have my lights, allows me to do a single, a double or even a quad hanger from a single cord. I set hooks in the top of the cabinet to allow me to have more than enough variables for actual light placement. For height, I had to determine whether or not the hitch clamp would hold a quad (max) light hanging from a single cord. Once i knew that, I understood that I could hang pretty much any combination of lights in any spectrum in any location from any height that I wanted. The only restriction being available room inside of the cabinet. Anyway thats who I came up with that system. Plus its very simple....install is super easy.

Everyone has there own methods and from what I have seen they all have worked. This is mine..lol. Hope it works out as well as I think it will.

Take a seat if you want and follow my progress. Link me your grow and I will surely check out what you cooked up. Im sure there is something to be learned watching you grow as well.

Wow,,,

How messed up was I? Check my previous post. I cut off the whole beginning of the post. I dont even remember what I said. Shit man.

And Wald brother..for now I am not using anything. This girl isnt even in flower yet and this morning when I came downstairs I was greeted with her sweet piney smell. Its just me and the wife, and my grow room is in a completely different section that is separated from the main house. It used to be a one bedroom apartment about 900 square feet. Now its my mancave, grow room and reload center..lol..and some storage.

I wish I could remember what I started with on that previous post..oh well.

Wow that's a really nice looking plant, very healthy +rep

Thank you for commenting on my grow. Ill be watching this grow to see how far you get, hopefully to harvest. Also you asked when to go to 12/12, best time is when the plants is taking up half of your available height, for the simplest fact as she double the size in 12/12. So for me i have 2.5ft, so ill send her to 12/12 when she's 1.25ft :) hope that helps.

Hey KK..not a problem brother. We are all in this together. I agree with you totally on the 12/12 start up. I am going to LST as much as possible and I am prepared to even have up to three times growth.

Thanks for stopping in!
