Here we go again.

This time I am growing some Northern Lights and Hash Plant from non fem seeds.
That means I will have to weed out the males. I normally use T5's for seedlings but they are at a buddies house. So I am using a 1000 W MH. I was a little concerned about using so much light but they are growing very well. I sprouted them in Rockwool and transplanted them into the 6 planter once they sprouted. I am using GH three part for veg. I am rooting them in the six planter, but once they are about 6 inches tall I will transplant them again into individual buckets. The three big ones are the northern lights and the little one is the Hash Plant. I started that one a week later then the Northern Lights.IMG_1693.jpgIMG_1695.jpgIMG_1688 - Copy.jpgIMG_1696.jpgIMG_1692.jpgIMG_1691.jpgIMG_1690.jpgIMG_1689.jpgIMG_1694.jpg

Today I transplanted all four from the six planter to individual buckets. I cut a small circle out of the net pot so I can feed the roots down into the water. I upped the nutes to 10ml/gal grow, 5ml/gal micro, 5ml/gal bloom, 10ml/gal FloraBlend. I am also testing three different style air stones. I have one of the long snakes. This one is cool because I can curl it around the inside of the bucket so I have good distribution of the air. Then in another I have a round 4" disk. It allows me to focus a large amount of air directly under the root system. Then in the other two I have the regular 6" air stones. These are the cheapest of the three. I guess the point is to see if spending the extra money on the fancy air stones is worth the money. The disk was $10. The snake was $6 and the regular 6" air stone was only $2. So far I don't think there will be any difference. I also have my air pumps shaded from the light to try and keep the temps in the res down.

I got some brown slimy crap on my roots. I know what you all are thinking its root rot. No its not root rot. I have had root rot and this is not it. When you have root rot your roots are brown and slimy. This stuff wipes off my roots easily and once it is wiped off my roots are nice and white. Could this be from the FloraBlend? Or is this something to worry about? Please comment on this page if you know what this is. + rep for anyone who can tell me what this crap is. I have some H2O2 but I don't want to use it if this is normal for these nutes.

I had that same problem I don't now what it is but I konw it will kill your roots so I flush with a good PH water and cleaned the system real good with bleach and water if you don't clean the system it will come back good luck I hope this helps.

Well the slime is gone. I did not do anything to it and it just went away. It didn't seem to hurt the plants at all. My roots are still nice and white. They are growing nicely. The little hash plant is way behind. I'm not sure what I want to do with it. I only plan on vegging 2 more weeks so I don't think it will be ready. Oh well it will just stretch a little. Any ways I gave them fresh nutes last night. They are now on 15 ml/gal Grow, 10 ml/gal micro, 5 ml/gal bloom, and 10 ml/gal flora blend. I checked them today and I got a little burning on the lower leaves.

Nice plant dude.. Update? Have you sexed them yet? Are they in flower? Would like to see how they are doing now! I'm working on my first DWC too.. I like the idea of single buckets.. I went with the Big tote.. Now my plants are all close together and stuff.. Oh well Next time I might go with individual buckets :)

Nice grow dude! Can't wait to see the outcome..
