Ok am thinking of buying a NORTHERNleitz 380w LED and 4x4x7 grow tent. And probably some CFL's for extra light (probably another 4-500w mixed spec). Does this sound like a good start for a small grow? Any one heard of this brand? (eBay) how many plants should fit in the tent under this light? Sorry I've been out of the growing for a long time now. My last grow was a CFL only grow that exceeded my expectations. It's going to be a soil grow. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you in advance and sorry if this has been asked I searched with 0 results.

Light specs.
430nm (90 degree lens) - Focused Chlorophyll A Support
460nm (90 degree lens) - Focused Chlorophyll B Support

660nm (60/90 degree lens) - Focused/Intense Penetration Chlorophyll A Support
3000K (120 degree lens) - Wide dispersion auxiliary pigment support
6500K (120 degree lens) - Wide dispersion auxiliary pigment support
9000K (120 degree lens) - Wide dispersion auxiliary pigment support
730nm IR (120 degree lens) - Helps regulate internode length and other metabolic functions, increases "Flavour" intensity and aromatics
400-410nm UV (120 degree lens) - Growth regulator/sterilant
USA seller.

$290 USD (on a budget it's about the max I can spent)

The sellers reviews include ppl saying it works as well as equivalent BlackStar

they all look like rebranded cidly led's . same everything. if you want the same chinese ones then go to cidly and save money. I have an apollo 10 from cidly. its better than blackstar. since you are in the UK check out Vipar led. they are really good and there are a few journals with them here.

otherwise wait for the new cree Area51 led's. they should be out sometime this month

Ok thanks for the input! I'm US. I was looking to place an order within 24hrs $300 range. So I should stay away from this light? Recommend anything? Buying a 4x4x7 tent perfect size for the space I have. I was hoping to be able to do 6-8 plants. Also I have CFLs from my last grow I think I have about 500 watts in mixed spec also could buy some more.

Should I consider 2 smaller units?

You won't find anything for $300 to cover a 4x4 accept hid. The new a51 panels are $495 each. Probably take 3 panels to cover a 4x4. Those are the best for that price and they have a lifetime warranty.

They do have af600 - 595 watts on sale for $1050. That will cover a 4x4. Endurox has had awesome grows with his on riu.

Thanks for the help. I think I'm going to try to do more a hybrid grow 1/2 led 1/2 CFL. I'll probably buy 1 this week and next week buy another. So like 2 300w Ish LED and like another 6-700w cfl. Figured I'd buy more. (600w+ LED and like 600w+ CFL/T5) what do you think?

Also I would like to just note this would just be a personal grow for fun and learning.

Was thinking of making my own fixture with 1 or 2 LED panels 4 T5s and some 100w & 300w CFLs (electrician by trade metal work for fun)

Thanks. I'll take a look at some others works. Really got thinking and I'm going to make one crazy rig. Been thinking of ideas. Basically going to make a hood with LED, CFLs and T5s.

These are nothing like CIDLY's and are at a much lower cost. Seems like a lot of marketing currently to sell ridiculous, complicated housings when all you need is an effective diode profile.

Northernleitz are a tested design with quality hardware at a great price.

My 2¢

If you still are on a budget. You can go the cmh route. 400w mh mag ballast and Philips all start 330w bulb. $200 -$250 oh and hood or wing.
