i have thouroughly inspected all of the leaves on the affected plant... i MAY have seen one thing that could have POSSIBLY been a spider mite.. i have a 30x loupe, should i be able to see them ok with this and be able to determine what they are or will they just look like little specks? do spider mited move around? and if i saw one wouldnt i have seen more somewhere else? i inspectd my entire plant VERY carefully.

well i got some neem oil and decided to give em a spray whether its the beginnings of spider mites or not... better safe than sorry. the neem oil i got is fungicide3 from walmart and it is a fungicide insecicide and miticide that is safe for vegetables and houseplants so i hope it solves my problems... thanks for helping out!

you should be able to see them with the naked eye if you look close enough , that leaf damage looks very similar to what my plant had and i couldnt fidn any buys either until a couple weeks later , no webbing formed cuz i attacked the mites with alcohol/water and neem oil/ water/ soap mixes. i hope u dont have mites dude they are a pain in the ass, its my only plant and im fighting them from reaching my buds, the leaf stippling is more reserved to the leafs

yeah i think i actually spotted a couple on there the other day so i am fighting them with some neem oil spray and i am going to make a soap mixture as well.... some people have said that i can use a dish soap mix to help get rid of them... after the mights have gone and i use these sprays should i wash all the leaves and stuff off or will it just go away after a while? i might make a little hash outta some of the trimmings and leaves if i can

ok so after i sprayed some stuff on my plants the damage seemed to slow some... i started feeling better so i went ahead and watered them with a good watering.... after watering i figured i would give a good once over to make sure there wasnt anything else wrong and i just happened to notice these little whitish tan bugs crawling on the stalk and all over the soil. THRIPS!! i had looked at numerous pictures of thrip dmage and i never saw one that looked like the damage i had...

this is what i did...
VERY carefully uprooted my plants
VERY carefully flushed all the soil from the roots, flushed the etire plant with water
checked the roots for any signs of bugs
trashed my soil
sterilized my pots
sterilized my growbox
put fresh soil in the pots
replanted my plants

this was last night at about midnight, when i went to bed they were abviously looking a little sad and droopy, when i got up this morning at about 10 they were perky and seemed very happy!! i believe this may work and if you dont mind gettting rid of your infected soil, and can uproot our plants with VERY MINIMAL root damage you should be fine to do this as well...i will keep this thread updated as to whether or not this has worked and is a viable method for getting rid of thrips. ill try to post again in a bout a week or so... if there is any left i will give them a bit to show themselves before i confirm that this has worked or not.

thanks again for all the help!!
