Microwaves steamm things from the inside out so yea the bud goes soggy initially but if you leave it a few mins it soon dries up.
If you have to use the microwave do it in short bursts and not on full power. Cut the bud up into small pieces and lay it on kitchen towel to help soak up the condensation.
If your flash and have a volcano vaporizer you can just put the fresh bud in it for 2 bags or until dry and then skin up with it. The bags taste lush, the joint - not great, but you'll lose much less THC.
