Hi guys I have a slight problem. My water is 140 Ppm. On 1/23/16 I flushed my system Ph is 5.85 and the Ppm is 840. On 1/24/16 my Ph is 7.22 and the Ppm is 821. So she drank a little. On 1/25/16 Ph is 718 and the Ppm is 881. What is this trying to tell me? Do I have a equal balance and just watch it or is something wrong.

On 1/24 did you readjust ph back down to 5.8? Every time i change my res it takes about 24 hours for everything to fully settle and mix together, in that time period my ph consistently climbs up to 6.3 from 5.8 when i filled, which I believe is due to ph buffers in my nutes. I know some people mix and let it sit prior to putting it in the res so that they don't have that happen so not sure what your process is with that.

Basically if your ppm is rising it means there is more nutes in the water than your plant can drink, so as the ratio of nutes to water changes with drop of water yet not as even drop of nutes than the offset in the ratio causes a higher concentration of nutes due to the ratio change. For example you put 5 apples in a 5 gal bucket of water, in the perfect situation every gallon that drops you eat 1 apple so ratio stays 1:1 but if you can't eat the apples fast enough you'll end up with 3 gal of water and 4 apples, too many apples lol

Correct your PH for now and if your plant is at least a month old I'd say just leave this res with a lil too high of nutes, I have had this plenty of times and it being a little high proly won't even burn it. If you plan on growing this strain again keep notes so you know for the future, that's what I do, that gives you general benchmarks for the future for example you could know that by week 4 of veg you want to be around say 500ppm or whatever it is and you'll know that xxxppm is too high for that week.
