Well Canna...you're just going to flower them and then harvest and then kill them anyway, right?

Or do you have a plan for saving the genetics. Refresh my memory, were all of them germed and planted at the same time?

I got the feeling that you were frustrated and that this crop is sort of sacrificial and that you just want to start over. I'm just saying there are options.

Well my friend long story short. I saw myself suddenly actually knowing about Cannabis "some people around there think they know a lot about cannabis because they can pack a gram in a bowl and smoke it" I had the opportunity of being with patients and see whats this about. Anyways, I wanted to invest my time and knowledge in putting some seeds and making my own grow box just to supply myself with stuff I know where it came from. But I had basically no time as I was going to travel for three weeks in December so there was virtually no time to grow something. Therefore, I put a White Widow and set everything up and just take this as a Tutorial Grow, not even my first grow. I would start my real first grow after coming back in january. I put the White Widow and 4 days after I ripped a cotyledon, I started the germination of the cheese as back up. My original plan was to put the White Widow, let her veg for 3-4 days, and then harvest early and not give a shit about harshness of flavor. Or maybe just let them sit in jars while im gone. As we can see the original plan did not turn out that way unfortunately.

OK,
Everybody has their own life to work around. You have some valuable genetics there and it would be a shame to waste it. Plants with only a few days of 12/12 will revert to veg w/o issues. You could set up wicks to keep plants alive in your absence. Grow them (18/6), sex them, clone them and then have your second attempt be with the genetics from this grow.

I know its a shame to waste these genetics but I think its something I had in mind when I started. I have a connection or two with a seed company from Spain, they sent me 15 seeds for free and will probably supply me with any seeds I need. So my plan was to start in January with them with a stable growbox. Plus, I dont really want to clone because I cant have more than a plant or two so clones will slowly lead me to 4 or 6. What do you think?

Canna,
I consider seeds to be a long term storage media for genetics...but a nuisance to grow from. I do not trust pre-flowers...especially now that I'm old with poor vision. Before I learned to clone, I grew with seeds. Let them veg for 4 or 5 nodes and then into 12/12 JUST to sex them. Then reveg back to 18/6 for vegging. And finally into flowering. An unnecessarily lengthy process. Now I just root a cutting from a clone Momma of known gender and quality. It's easy to keep a small Bonsai type clone Mother...takes little light. So that's what I think.

Oh and clones make the perfect little seed factories. Keep a clone Poppa and take cuttings from the plants you want to breed. Then grow the two in solo cups well away from primary grow. No risk of accidental crop pollination. But then you get free seeds from Spain (mandala?) So it's clones for me and seeds only when I want to add a strain.

Hey canna, those seedlings are really small man i know it can be frustrating waiting for them to grow as seedlings but heres what i think would be yr best course of action. Instead of planting new seeds every time why not just keep a small mother and clone? That way youre looking at a short turn around time, fast gtrowing plants and harvest every 8 weeks.. They are really small to put into 12/12 now. (Ifelt bad for doing mine at a foot tall) The bigger you can veg your plants obviously will give you bigger yields. If space is an issue maybe you could train them? I dont know man, i js feel you will be disapointed after all your hard work to get such a small yield. Johndee is right man clones are the way to go.

No worries, before I started I considered this as my "tutorial grow" in which the wanted outcome was to get everything set up. I will start in January my first grow and things should go the way they are. I switched to 12h/12h on the 18th. As of today, both of them are showing pre flowers kinda. The cheese is growing very very nicely. The White Widow…. Idk, since she lost her cotyledon she grew up muting. I might have a mother plant, we will see. Its just that I want to try many strains as I want to be able to use it medically, you know if I have pain after doing sports maybe some Purple Kush, Then Sour D to sleep, things like that… Thanks for the advice! I Keep taking notes…..

Ps: I gave the White Widow 20-20-20 at 25% since for the first 2 weeks ish she was going to be vegetating. I just did this to see how my nutes work in this environment. The Cheese has been just treated with tap water perfect PH (I was amazed when I tested the tap water here and that shit was just A+ MJ approved haha :eyesmoke: ) I might be adding some 4-12-4 at 50% to the Cheese for flowering. I think she has the perfect size for a 4-way LST…. I dont know if she will react as well if she is in flowering though, what do you think? Cheers!

You can bonsai many mother plants and keep them in a small tent like 60x60 then just have a dedicated area for clones and moms and yore flowering area. you could easily get away with four diffrent strains in this size setup. taking 4 clones every 8-10 wks would be easy. you could even keep them under cfls, they dont need that much light. How far are you into flower? I really dont like messing around with them after week 2, the stress can effect flowering. its always better to do that shit whilst vegging. anyway with the size of your plant it may not be woth it imo. Go for it with yor next grow, its only gonna get better :) im still a beginner, always will be

Hey people!

As a couple of you already knew, I have a White Widow 1 week and a half from germination that lost one Cotyledon when sprouting, her growth got slower but constant. I also have a Cheese she is starting to develop her 3rd set of leaves. I have a bit of a time issue so I will start flowering them today. However, since ill be flowering them prematurely I don't really know what to do about nuts in terms of N-P-K. Still same formula of less N more P and medium K? I am growing in cheap ass potting soil 0.08-0.12-0.08. Also, as these plants are did not complete their veggie, shall I create a schedule as its a bigger plant? How about the concentration of the nutes for the first time? In this case till when should I wait for nutting? Sorry for the many questions. Cheers everybody and for the ones who smoking/vaping/eating ENJOYYYY :weed:
You should find a fertilizer that is good for foliage like a 3-1-2 NPK ratio. 3 times more N than P and 2 times more K than P. Dynagro foliage pro is your best bet. Feed regarding plants vigor, needs not based on a schedule. Plants are dynamic, not a chart. Adjust accordingly..Happy Holidays!
