Thinking of starti g these seeds on a 1/4 feed of DN GroA and GroB. Second sets looking healthy but nice colours and just transplanted 24hr ago.
Exactly my thought. Was waiting for soil to dry out after transplant let the roots settle and then start with the 1/4 feedIf you transplanted 24 hours ago, the substrate will still be wet so wait a couple more days before giving her anymore water.
You can start with 1/4 strength veg nutes that next time. That second set of fans should be very visible in a few days and I have always waited until that second node is fully out before I start introducing veg nutes.
That's exactly what I do, I just didn't want to "speak from authority" without checking my facts. No need to feed at all until you see the colyton (the two tiny round ones that first come out of the seed husk) leaves start to yellow. They are food for the seedling. Once they start to yellow that's how you know the seedling has started to look for food.
Ya ya awesome sauce! Had a feeling and so long as colour stays green as it is I was holding off.No need to feed at all until you see the colyton (the two tiny round ones that first come out of the seed husk) leaves start to yellow. They are food for the seedling. Once they start to yellow thats how you know the seedling has started to look for food.
Ya was recieving mixed reviews... Never fed before the second set of fan leaves opened up or before the colyton yellow. I knew or was sure I knew the seed packs all of the nutrients required for the first couple weeks solid.Personally, I like to wait until a seedling is established before I feed.
This little girl is in a peat pellet and has gotten nothing but tap water.
