Nutrient Burn

I have a little bit of nutrient burn. Can I just water with regular water for 2-3 waterings, then back to nutes every other watering? Is that sufficient "flushing" or do i actually need to flush the roots with water for the plant to stop the nutrient lockout. I'm growing in soil. I was getting overzealous and started feeding with every watering for like 2 weeks, burned my babies a bit. Any help is appreciated.

Flush with plain water, 3 gallons of water per each gallon of medium. Then flush with a half gallon of weak nutes and ph'd water so the plants dont go from burn to deficient.

actually put 3 gallons of water per galon into the soil? 2 gallon pots, thats 6 gallons of water into each pot. seems like that would drown the plants.
