Nutrient Question

When increasing nutrient strength, when should I start watching for nutrient burn? A day or two after, a week later maybe?100_3320.JPG 100_3321.JPG

HPS pictures show nothing useful to be seen. Its too hard to try to look through all that yellow. If you are new to growing you should really really go easy on using nutrients in general.
Depending on whats used on them they can burn quickly or it take a while but either way, if they do burn its already too late.
From all the reading I've done the past couple of years, it seems a new grower will do it almost every time.

It depends on the nutrients. When I used GH Flora 3-part in soil, I got immediate burnt tips when I overfed. Never any salt build up. When I switched to Grow More Sea Grow, I almost never get burnt tips, but I'll get serious salt buildup if I overfeed for 3-4 weeks.

It seems like the difference is whether it's fast-acting synthetics or slower-acting organics. I prefer the later for soil. I think it's healthier for the soil, promoting microbial action to participate in the availability of nutrients. But, it really threw me off when I didn't get burnt tips.
