Nutrient Regiment

Ok. So here is my rundown of neuts/chems.

I'm running a SoG setup, just like ol' Al-b details in the hydro section.

I plan on taking my cuttings and dipping them in clonex for 30-45 seconds then lightly powdering it with a rooting powder. From there I intend to put them into rockwool and just letting it feed off the neuts in the leaves for the week before putting them in the grow zone which will be populated with Flora Nova Bloom.

I'd like to know what I should be feeding the mothers and if there is anything else I should be adding. I saw the Snow Storm that's supposed to help with Trics and stuff but what does it do exactly and does it, more or less, take the place of a blooming solution?

TL;DR
Clonex and Rooting Powder for clones
Flora Nova Bloom for Grow station
Need Neut for Mothers

Anything I'm missing? Comments, concerns?

why clonex and powder? just stick with the clonex until your out of it..its expensive stuff, then keep that powder for a backup..with proper humidity(90%) and good temps (76-81 degrees F) you dont even need any gels or powders..weed will about clone itself. although some genetics-strains are a real pita sometimes ;)
i run about 300ppm on clones sometimes 400 ppm..dont give em to much, it will only increase your rooting times..a dash of calmag works good as well..

flora nova is from GH and is synthetic organic from my understanding..mostly a guano based nutrient..if your doing hydroponics you dont want a bloom nutrient to "grow" or veg with btw.
you want a grow or veg nutrient..switch to the bloom when you flower.

for your mothers you just want the same veg or grow nutrient..
are you growing mothers in soil? or dro?

what kind of dro system are you running? dwc? aero? E&F?

Well, I'm not going to be vegging at all. They're going straight from the cloner to flowering lights/food. Al-b-fuct explained it pretty well. I'll just use clonex for the clones, thanks.

Everything will be E&F, mothers included. The setup I'll be using will be using big honkin clones and zero vegging time. Thanks for the humidity tip too :P.

oh ok i got ya..
your cloning, then going right into flower..i misunderstood and stand corrected..cheers
cool..E&F is one of my things as well..i flood mine once a day about 2 hours before the lights come on..
they start feeding those few hours getting ready for the ol sun to pop out.
thats it..
i would realy highly recomend a additive or two.
flora nova..i have no bash on that..its great stuff.
but add the floralicious plus.
about a 5ml dose per gal.
http://www.igrowhydro.com/GH-Floralicious-Plus-16-oz.aspx
its a must have if you ask me. the flavor and tric production are amazing using only small doses of this.
it has many things the flora nova just does not have and will complete it .
its vegan as well..wich is like super organic.

i would also get silica from dutchmasters..it blends well with the gh , powerfull, and cheap..
http://www.dutchmaster.com.au/?language=english&page=product&product=SILICA
usually you get this nutrient from natural soil. it promotes stem strength , and helps guard against pests and heat.
makes those plants in hydro have those nice hard stems of the soil growers.

the last thing i dont do without, is bushmaster.
that stuff is great and 1 bottle has lasted me over a year now..still got half a bottle left.
that stuff is powerfull!!..got a plant thats to tall or a table is overgrowing to high? that shit will stop the bolting, stretching, and cause them to swell, bush and grow stout and shorter.
love it..i use 1ml per gal on it..any more is either to much or a waste.
1ml per gal , one time in the res..will show results realy good..you can use it in veg or flower..i use it once in veg, once in week 3 of flower..lasts me forever.
i veg mine out for 3-4 weeks after cloning.
go into 4" cubes, then after they veg, fill those, i put them in slabs.
using gh flora series(synthetic grow, bloom, micro) with the flora plus, silica, and those doses of bushmaster.

Damn, neuts get expensive as shit.

Thanks, I'll be subbing this thread for reference.

I was going to plant in 3inch netcups with 2inch rockwool, is there anything wrong with that?

dood id also rec doing mother or two in soil..by themselves. they will outgrow the e&F to fast, and suffer to easy.
in soil, its forgiving, letting you carry a plant on for years.
i do my moms in soil and use root pruning or bonsai method.
start my mom in a one gal, keep her on 18/6..in soil..after wek 5-6 of veg from seed.(if moms from clone clone then cut that time down to 2-3 weeks)
pull it out and by then the pots filled with rootz..
i cut about 2" off the bottom, and a 1/2" to 1" off the sides of the root mass.
repot in a 2 gal..
this is bonsai..
i rec light watering with fresh h20 before pruning and that plant wont even stress it.
ive kept the same mother, under 3 feet tall, for up to 5 years or more this way..
thats how we keep those clone onlys around from the late 80's and 90's..this can be done with one plant for a lifetime if the mother is well feed etc.

I was debating on that, actually. It'd cut down cost a bit. What should I feed her if she's in soil? I was told by someone else that the blooming neut will be fine as long as she's in vegging light cycles.

na the bloom nute has one downfall ..nitrogen..they lack nitrogen and cal-mag..also a must have dood.
so for vegging or mother plants in soil just get the flora nova grow..i think there even cheaper if you buy em off like amazon etc as a set grow and bloom qt
magical is by technaflora that and gh organic cal-mag+ are the two best cal mags in my opinion..there both the same exact thing and around 16$ a liter.
so the cheapest as well..
a ppm/tds meter and ph meter are a must have..or go tds/ph monitor..expensive but so much nicer ..and about the cost of the two meters combined anyway.
but for the mom, id go with tsp per gal each feeding of flora nova grow and about 2ml of the bloom mixed in.
then just give her 16oz of water, wait 15-20 min..clone away ;)
ive spent years trying to find the perfect methods..fail proof stuff..
used to do nute grows for different companies etc.
gh, technaflora, advanced nutrients are about your best options.
but advanced is huge money and very complicated feeding reg.
so gh nova, the additives and a cal-mag is going to rock your socks off..

also..dont know how much you know about flushing..alot of folks push there plants in dro, then flush the last week.
what you really want to do is flow and ramp..
give it structure..
as weeks 3-5 of flower are kicking..pushem as hard as you can(till you see the leaf tips burn back just a little thats peak) then starting with week 6 till 8ish 9ish..ramp them down to around 300ppm.
gradually..week by week say drop a few hundred ppm..

the ph works like this as well to get peak performance out of the dro.
i start at 5.6..let it hit 6.0-6.2 at peak, then ramp back down to 5.5-5.6 at the end..
harvest.

I use SnowStorm and Gravity and they both work great. Use use VERY LITTLE OF THEM so no it does not replace your solution, Snow Storm PACKS on TRICHS. big diff

No you can feed it with solution or without.. but if you feed it with solution you cut your nutes down to 1/4th since its some really potent stuff. It lets you know how to use it on the back. I use it with my solution.. And you do not use it in VEG. Gravity starts around week 4 of bloom and Snowstorm @ the beginning of bloom

Ok, from what I've gathered everyone has their different neut setups. I want a basic grow and bloom formula and maybe two additives that will be good for SOG growth. I intend to lollipop them, to make the most of my light.

So.
Flora Nova Grow
Flora Nova Bloom
Floralicious
SnowStorm
Gravity
Silica.

That's getting expensive and complicated. Can I call it there or is there even more that I need?

ahh the ff trio! also good stuff and can be used in soil or dro..i dig it to prob number 3-4 on my top ten..base nutrients.

a note on the botanicare liquid karma..its watered down and not as complete or powerfull as the floralicious plus.there basicly the same thing..but the floralicious plus is much better and stretches further.
botanicare also has a new sweet my man..oh yes..backstrap molas..yes sir..should email em get you some samples bro.
i use sugar daddy for my sweet..its technaflora..also about the same thing as botanicare, but hydro organic 2% cane sugar..great stuff.
if you look at the dose rates and actual % of nutrient value bottle for bottle, the botanicare lines are reallly watery.
i like you line up though..its very complete and i bet the girls look good.
cheers

floralicious plus
silica
magical or gh organic cal-mag +
and any of the humbolts stuff you can get

the snow storm is cheap..under12$
