nutrient storage causing plant issues?

so recently i've been having some issues. leaves are curling down and turning yellow to brown and even dying off. its been happening to clones, so i tried starting some seeds. they were doing good with green leaves for the first couple weeks, until I started giving them some nutrients, when I started adding nutrients, leaves starting turning brown, the roots went from white to blackish brown in places.

now, the reason i think the nutrients are tainted:

we got 10L bottles of advanced nutrients sensigrow / sensibloom. its nearly impossible to pour the 10L jugs so we funneled them into 2L bottles. needless to say we had some problems and didn't use any for awhile, so they've been sitting around in 2L bottles. the jugs they came in were black and light-tight you could not see through them. the 2L bottles are regular clear soda bottles that you can see through. there is a part A and a part B. one of them is actually clear, looks like crystal pepsi if you remember the stuff, anyhow the clear stuff you can actually see floaties in there, i'd say it looks like pulp inside lemonade.

my question is - are my nutrients tainted? I could take pics but my camera doesn't do real good on details so I don't think you would be able to see the detail of the yellowing, or the pulp in the clear nutrient solution.

also - if my nutrients are tainted, what should I store them in? to try to pour 20-30ml out of a 10,000ml bottle (10L) is not possible.

I would guess (and hope) that the stuff that I haven't opened/used in 4-5 months or so (the original 10L bottles) is still clear and untainted looking

okay i'm done, so what does everybody think.

I guess i'll try to get some pics up in the next day or so

Hmm.

My first guess is that the bottles you poured the nutes into were tainted with something. After all, it sounds like that's when the problems started.

I don't think your nutes are tainted, but it does sound like you might have had a nute issue. Did you follow all of the instructions on the bottle?

Sensi Grow

Use 4 mL per Liter during all weeks of vegetative growth. Shake well to take full advantage of this product and put it to work for you.

Sensi Bloom
Use 4 mL per Liter during weeks 1 through 6 of your flowering phase. Shake well to take full advantage of this product and put it to work for you.

Some people get confused by the instructions and just use the nutes however they like. Now, admittedly, I use less than the bottle says, to prevent any possible burn. I'm a bit picky like that.

I'm guessing that you have a nute issue, but I don't think it's the nutes themselves.

As for storage, I would only transfer the nutes to another bottle if I know it's completely clean of possible pests and other contaminants. Other than that, unless you're storing things in a hot room or too cold of a room, I don't think you're going to have issues.
