I'm not believing the westcoast of the US has n e thing to worry about. there's lots of ocean between us and lots of reputable news sources n doctors r sayin minimal threat for US. If n e things gonna happen it will hit Hawaii first( sorry Hawaii) so I'll get my happy ass outa the west coast at that point.

if it's caught in the jet stream it would not hit hawaii first.. It's hard to believe "reputable" news sources these days.. If a meltdown occurs, it will for sure create problems, and very well could threaten many. you remember what we did to japan in WWII.????? times that by A FUCK TON!!!!!! so you just may wanna keep an eye on shit..

I'll close with this.. It has been proven time and time again from many sources that pres. Bush had warnings of Sept 11th, yet they chose to keep that shit to themselves. why? because they don't wanna cause mass panic, and allow people to think for themselves. So they force feed tons of filtered media garbage to keep you pre-occupied. Even if there is a severe threat at hand. Do you really think they would say??

U know how high the jet stream is? It's unlikely it will reach the jet stream it's not erupting out of a volcano on top of a mountain it's at sea level. There already close to a meltdown and not one person has died from radiation sickness in japan.. I doubt a full meltdown would hardly even impact any of the US. if n e thing u rntt gonna die or even get sick u won't even notice untill 20 yrs later when u get cancer. That would suck but still unlikely US will get a dangerous amount of radiation. There's homeboys testing all day everyday in so cal already so if it gets any where nearr worrying about we will no.

I am with ya on the Bush thing. I watch link tv, they have a full documentary on this. A great deal of the survivor's families from 9/11 are pissed.

For those of you that are worried about it reaching the US. I ran a few numbers and they take some big assumptions but should give you some idea of what they are up against.

Measured doses at Fukushima
40 rem/hr - at reactor building 4
10 rem/hr - between reactor buildings 3 & 4 (.25 km)
821 mrem/hr - site boundary (.821 rem/hr) (1 km)
.4 mrem/hr - 200 km away (.0004 rem/hr)

Ok, if you use the numbers above and create a 3rd degree polynomial (relatively good fit with the limited data set) equation to give you a way to calculated dose per distance. With this equation if you plug in the distance for Hawaii, the closest US landmass your expected dosage (at the current levels) would be .000000000000046 rem/hr. (DAMN SMALL) This would decrease by ~ another 40% before it got to California. I think it is safe to say eating a banana gives you FAR more radiation (yes - the potassium in bananas is actually radioactive)

For comparison here are some dosages for common medical procedures.

Dental x-ray .0004 rem
Chest x-ray .002 rem
Barium + Upper GI .15 rem
Head CT .21 rem
Chest CT 1.3 rem
