oasis medical clinic Calgary

So I just finished my appointment for a licence renewal at the Oasis med clinic in Calgary. I drove the 4 hours from the North end of Edmonton since the doctor there is apparently the only doctor in Alberta who will recommend MMJ. I gotta say, I am effing pissed. I called ahead and asked some very specific questions about my renewal such as will the doctor have any problems renewing me for the same amount as I am currently prescribed. the answer was no he wouldn't. I also asked if he would impose his own restrictions on THC percentages on my prescription. The answer was no, he would not. I also asked if they would be ok with me just taking my medical document and not signing up with an LP and I was told that was OK too. Well, it turns out that 2 out of the 3 were complete bullshit. I currently have a 5g a day limit, he tried to impose a 2 g a day limit. He would also only prescribe high CBD strains. I was able to just have the document though had I chosen to accept his script. He actually lied to my face and straight up said that the college has imposed a 2 g a day limit, which is false and when confronted he then changed his story and said it was his own limit. He wouldn't budge on the cbd only which does absolutely nothing for my degenerative disc disease. So needless to say I left empty handed. I will now be flying to Abbotsford to go see Dr shaw at the greenleaf to have my papers renewed. If you're in Alberta and looking for a Dr to sign, don't waste your time or money at Oasis, you will leave disappointed :-(

Before you fly out to contact Gartree Medical Clinic in Vernon. He gave me 25 grams like on my MMAR license with no issues. I haven' gone back as I said fuck it and smoke away illegally. Also contact Dr Goddard in Chilliwack. He was giving out real prescriptions for cannabis on his own medical pad for $250 and no mention of MMPR on the paper work.

Wow dude you are not having much luck with this.

The more stories I hear like this, the more inclined I am
to forget I had ever heard
of the medical mj program
We don't need these ill informed gate keepers to advise us and take our money
They can't even keep current on the info or laws
Let alone methodology
on mmj uses and roa's

the thing that pissed me off the most is when he said and I quote " It'll just make you legal bro (no kidding there at all) when the police pull you over and you're puffing away on a joint just flash them your lp card and the can't say a thing!" ...what a twat. no, actually asshole I want to be legal cause I started growing a while back and I need the amount to match the amount I'm growing....oh BTW just harvested some BB a few weeks ago. hence why I haven't been on here in a while. just want proper documentation to match my symptoms and by extension my garden.

the paper work is the only part of the medical program I want. they can keep their shit weed, high prices and shyster docs. Dr shaw not included she was a lovely lady.

I also drove to oasis back in August and the doc told me to keep buying black market as it will be legal soon. I have an EDMONTON doc who will sign, I can help you if you need. Send me a DM.

There is a new clinic in Edmonton, just opened a week ago. Good people there and most importantly, appointments are FREE!

So we have a court case to ensure legal access and fair access, and in the mean time while it's being decided almost all access has been cut off. Fuck I hope the judge is following some of this.
So much for the SCoC decision more than 10 years ago granting fair access. Somebody needs to pay for this monkey show.
Vote me Emperor and watch the shit happen. You wouldn't believe what a fun country I would run.

Agreed Hippy. We are long, long ways from 'reasonable access' here in Saskatchewan, that much is for god damn sure.

Is this not only for vets and first responders?
Nope, fortunately not! See below from their Q&A. And I know for sure because I just booked an appointment with them!

I’m a civilian am I entitled to use your facility?
Absolutely. We take appointments with anyone seeking treatment for PTSD, trauma, chronic pain and chronic illness. However, not all treatments may be covered by your provincial health care or private benefit package. We are better able to help determine what coverage you are entitled to upon your initial consult with our team. Please contact the clinic nearest you for an appointment.

this is the new ...dr's canna epidemic..force cbd on people..why?

not because it necessarily helps..but

actual cannabis ..which contains thc can cause 'happiness' besides helping yer ail's
