Obama has cut the deficit in half

they revised down the number on the deficit, it will be down to $642 billion next year, down from the $1.5 trillion that obama inherited from that fiscally conservative spendthrift named shrub (you remember him, he's the penny pincher who inherited a projected surplus from a drunken sailor spender of a democrat).

anyone care to say a nice word or two about that?

His lowest year ever, and still 1.5x as much as Bush's worst year, unless we really are talking about 2009!

Yes. The Obama stimulus goes on Bush's budget because the economy was so bad and it was Bush's fault. Buck will also tell us the stimulus was resounding success, so he's got that going for him.. which is nice.

The deficit is a joke of a problem and the source of the problem are the same people who ballance the budget. There would not be a deficit if they did the balanced budget job correctly. So they are half way out of a hole they dug themselves? Are we suppose to clap for that?

how about the national debt. How is that looking? Now there is a real issue. This is the 2nd post about the deficit, and all you got to brag about?

Sounds like a stuffed bannana of a prize from the county fair game that cost you 2,800$ to play.

romney himself said that he would have done a stimulus when he was running in 2008, and he was running as the more conservative choice to mccain. in 2012 he ran as the more moderate choice to the field of fucking whackos you guys had.

shrub himself had to pass a keynesian stimulus, and all your ayn rand, austrian superheroes like paul ryan not only voted for it, they begged for it! so much for austrian.

i hope you return your failed tax breaks and don't take advantage of your failed widened highways, shit for brains.

my guarding duty is over, i wish you good night, princess.

even fox news concedes the $1.5 trillion dollar annual structural deficit to shrub. don't be that guy.
So it was that huge deficit that Obama was going to cut in half. Not impressed since most of it was a stimulus that is not supposed to be in place every fuckin' year.

He also passed a monsanto act --- Monsanto being the people whom create teh GMO's that go into food etc, also the people whom manufactured Agent Oranj ;)
Sheeple?....that's you. There is no Monsanto act. I published the provision you have not read, in this thread.

So, the DOD needed a defense contractor and Monsanto, "being the people" with capability to produce something that was invented in Europe. Monsanto won the bid against Dow. So what?

And you act you are going to remind us about who Monsanto is.

You think it's the Hippy Devil and that's all ya need, right?

At least blame Bush is over. Blame Romney, much better.

Don't we already have a thread on this?

When you add up the extra revenues from higher tax rates, from the expiration of the payroll tax cut, and from the profits being posted by Fannie and Freddie versus previously expected losses, how much of a dent in the deficit is there?

I agree, since it is all lies and lies about that. Only a few Congressional staffers have the entire picture of their part of the budget.

Remember the phony Peace Dividend. Remember the Halliburton free spend ticket in Iraq. (No bid defense contracting is the place to be~!) This govt throws away money it doesn't even have.

The IRS would rather engage in Political pick and choose than collect taxes from the cheats. They will go after a Portlandia with the VW bus as his only asset before they will go after someone with a lawyer.

My Pa-in-law was IRS for 20 years. An armed field agent, ex-SF cop. The IRS takes the easy way if possible. Fear.

false.

you are thinking of the "the deficit is falling" thread. this thread describes by how much the deficit has fallen.

as desert dud will no doubt defend, these issues are tangential enough that each one deserves its own thread.

hell, i should probably start a new thread for each and every line item in the budget to help everyone here fully appreciate how much obama has shrank the deficit.

i'm sure desert dud would appreciate that and defend it.

And yet my question goes unanswered, despite the fact that I've posed it twice. That makes me think you know what the answer is and have good reason not to opine.
