Well good on him.......
Too many people in the USA loose there life's due to gun crime. Problem is people love there guns in usa. They don't want to loose them and they shouldn't but they need to do something that could help people. This seems like a good stepping stone, won't reduce crime massively but could stop these guys that are crazy buying a gun and killing multiple people. Could also reduce in the moment gun crime, by this I mean someone who is hell bent on causing injury but is in a mad rage ect.
I remember reading a story where a boy under 13 shot and killed a little girl. Maybe 3-4 years old all because she wouldn't show him her new pet. That family are now devastated and his actions has ruined 2 family life's forever. Of course this check couldn't of helped her but tougher laws could of. Over here guns are locked away,illegal to most and the owner is responsible for the actions of anyone using the gun.
Tougher responsibility laws with guns would be another step that should be made. Sure don't take away guns but make it harder to get them and make the owner responsible for anything that happens to his gun. Most people here are allowed to protect there property with the weapon which is usually a shotgun. It also has to be in a locked cabinet,when not in use.
Too many children/young adults die every year from gun crime.
