They may very well be nuts, but that doesn't make Obama nuts by association. Or are we all to be judged by those we associate with at one time or another? No one fell for this argument last November. We don't care about his tenuous relationship with Ayers. We don't care about his pastor. We don't care about his revolutionary professors at an ivy league college. And we certainly don't care about ACORN.

.Where are the liberals on this one? This is Obamas community organizing group, he worked closely with this organization. ACORN is constantly being called out and investigated. ACORN receives billions in taxpayer cash. What about all the people Obama associates with? Obama must be the most unlucky person on earth. How could anyone accidentally associate with so many corrupt people and organizations?

And there's nothing wrong with associating with revolutionaries. Just because you associate with someone does not mean you must automatically adopt their ideologies. This notion is ludicrous.
And all pastors are crazy in my opinion (well, most).
Finally, Ayers is a hell of an educator. He has redeemed himself and moved on. He's an academic and an altruist.

.And again, I disagree. There will be a shift to the right in the 2010 elections, but democrats will keep a majority in both the senate and house.
I don't think ACORN receives ANY federal grant money, I do believe they have to perform services ( Like registering a voter, or getting someone onto govt assistance) and get paid tax free money for it. And it pays pretty well considering you don't have to actually do anything, you can just make up all the registrations.

You're right it would be difficult to add up how much money they actually get because it's so corrupt. But, they were entitled around 4 billion in the last stimulus bill, listed under "neighborhood stabilization activities" or some shit. The main point is why would anyone want any tax money to go to ACORN? Most importantly, OBAMA, AYERS, DOHRN, VAN JONES, TONY REZKO, REV. WRIGHT, ACORN, RASHID KHALIDI, look at some of the CZARS. Is there not a pattern here?

So far they've only received around 100 million. They were allotted 4 billion in the stimulus bill, but I don't think they've received much or any of it so far. This particular group is made up of people who probably just want to help people. The problem is the management and founders are completely corrupt and total scumbags. To them it's all about the money, I don't even think it's about "the cause". They are being sheltered by a few Senators that refuse to investigate them, no matter how many instances of fraud and such are exposed.
Shouldn't matter what side of the aisle you're on, we should all call for them to be investigated... follow the money, it rarely lies. What I find completely unacceptable is the MM's total brush off of the story, don't they understand they have NO CREDIBILITY anymore, why the hell did two 20+ yr olds have to do this? What happened to 20/20 and Primetime Live... this is exactly the kind of investigative journalism they used to do. And then after the story breaks, they don't run anything on it? Cmon, it's complete bullshit and frankly, it's dangerous to all of us.

Believe it or not but Acorn is not the only "neighborhood stabilization activity". There are hundreds of different companies, like those scary radicals over in Big Brother Big Sister. I mean hell they put "Big Brother" right in their name, how much more information do you need to show their agenda!
Acorn was not 'allotted' 4 Billion in the stimulus package. You need to quit listening to the idiots that claim to be the news as more than entertainment value, and get your news from different reliable sources. News= entertainment, Boring professors and economist = news.

Every mortgage that is over 100K (that's almost all of them) 40 bucks goes directly to ACORN...... it's in EVERY mortgage.
Acorn is the worst sort of community activism. The reason both Acorns were FIRED was because they were caught on tape..... this is going on in every Acorn office, make no mistake. That lady was an accountant for Pete's sake....the guy TELLS her he is running a child prostitution ring

Cripes, I wish I had a dollar for every time I've had to correct the fantasy numbers that are put forth in here. The fact is neither you nor anybody else in here has any idea how much of the 4+ billion will go to Acorn. But, the point is (and as usual, completely missed) they shouldn't be getting a dime of our tax money.
