So with your PHD, are you going to really stand behind the American economy would somehow turn into Bolivia if Obama continues on the textbook moves he is doing with the budget? You may not like it, but you can at least understand why he is doing it, which means he is listening to the economists right?

Knowing what you should know, you realize what he is doing right? With govt spending until the recovery is solid enough so that he can cut back spending and try to line up the economy for a steady growth rate, until the next business cycle.

And knowing that, you really think that we will be Bolivia if we continue this path? We will somehow go from a 14trillion dollar GDP to 16.7billion GDP that Bolivia has?

I know you can't possibly believe this, and are just being rhetorical but you should live up to the PHD in economics you have earned, and not say such stupid shit, especially to people that are so obviously lost when it comes to understanding economics.

Because let's say for a minute that Obama should end all his initiatives today. What would the budget look like over the next ten years? It would still be pretty bleak wouldn't it?

Obama's slavish devotion to discredited Keynesian econ is not, I think, based even on his faith that it will work, but rather on his not caring. He wants to create a sharp move toward bigger government, he knows we can't pay for it, but he doesn't care. He sees a future in which the bogeymen corporations and rich will just have to say, "oh well, Obama outsmarted us and stuck us with the bill for all these social giveaways. Nothing we can do about it now, can't put the toothpaste back in the tube." THAT is his idea of being a transformative president. I, on the other hand, see Bolivia.

This shit in politics has been going on for ever. Media is just now more readily available now more then ever with the internet. The last 3-4 years the left really pulled Bush through the mud. Some thing with CLinton before him. And, the something with Bush senior before. I will just point out that Bush senior has a pay as you go method that Clinton took over. We are all basically pawns at this point. I'm not going to say that everyone is politics are evil. There are some good folks there. But with the economy the way it is, people are going to get hyper sensitive to the tug of war our political system is feeling now.

When the economy starts making a rebound............. people will not give a shit again.

I think you missed my point. The fact is the Republicans COULD NOT block anything at the time Franken took his seat (This is where I SHOULD comment on the fact they stole the election as you libs always claim about Bush, since my claim is 10 times more credible). It was the Democrats who were blocking it's passage by the PROGRESSIVES that have hijacked the party. The Repubs could have burned down the Capital and gone on wild shooting sprees and STILL COULDN'T effect the outcome. I keep stating that fact and you Libs keep gliding by this painfully obvious FACT.

Democrats were SOLEY responsible for holding up health care, not because it wasn't written, but because they recognized glaring affronts to the Constitution and the fact that over 70% of the public in every poll except for the NY Times and other Lib rag polls, didn't want it.

He expanded the unconstitutional Patriot Act that you rail against Bush for.

Obama continues the Bush policy on 'extraordinary rendition' while engaging in political theater when making a bunch of noise about Guantanamo Bay. However, he hasn't actually changed any of the policies or closed any facilities. The prison still exists and is still in use. Not to mention the countless secret prisons located elsewhere.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Obama is just as immoral as Bush is. They're both thieves and murderers just the same as all the other bureaucrats with blood on their hands. Tyrants, the lot of them.

You cannot compare those 3 incidents to starting a war in Iraq. Which basically preludes those 2 besides Somalia. Which lets be honest is a larger "terrorist" state than Iraq.

Why isn't Guantanamo closed? Because Fox News had to tell everything the terrorists would magically disappear and reappear another day to attack if there were tried in the US.

I thought it was a constitutional argument and all of those instances are in direct contradiction with the founding documents. The bottom line is that congress must declare war otherwise the conflict and military expenditure is illegal. It doesn't matter who orders it or for what reason.

Oh, and I forgot about the FOX news amendment. My bad.
