Observed a grow coop in action today. Anyone else using Nanolux setups?

The team I talked to had high praise for the Nanolux set-up. At the same level of Gavita-worship.

Anyone else try this brand? I think it's a twin spectrum DE with ballast and reflector. Can be found for under $400

Here's some info on the Nanolux DE. It's very similar to Gavita. Some differences include the wireless cloud based Nanolux Cloud Control System, ballast mounting is flat for an extra 7" of head-space, goes to 1215W up from 1150, and the contact receptacles for the bulb are ceramic instead of plastic.

Some are selling them for super cheap bc the wholesale is so low. Nanolux owns their manufacturing facility, plus they sell direct to retailers, no distributors. This is why the price is about 35% lower. 35% is what the big 3 take as their cut. The MSRP for the Nanolux DE is 509.99. There are retailers out there that are selling them below 400 if you buy enough at one time.

Hope this info helps!

Look for a lot more names in DE gear , hard to say who will come out on top.
I'm putting my money into phantom de ballast ( if I ever get it) , phantom DE ac hood(optional to run open) and ushio pro plus DE lamp.

I was at a shop the other day, and the owner was telling me about his experience with both the AC/DE hood from Sunlight and the hood from Hydrofarm. He says the hydrofarm hood put far too much restriction on his air-flow causing the fan to work overtime.

I just got a nanolux 400watt ballast. Runs cool. Lots of features. and $99.00. Oh and it should save me about 20% on my electric bill.

You have to run the right cfm with those and the hydrofarm DE recommends a 6 inch 400 some cfm fan dialed back to 10 percent power so I have no idea how your fan was working overtime.
