Ocho vs. king cobra giant light hood

The question is which is better? Y? Do you lose light intensity? I just want to cover same area but better coverage on outer rows.

Thought I posted a real reply. Do a little search on my posts and see how many different light hoods I've tried. Movers for better coverage.

The hoods you see now in the Labs are about as far as I'm going to go. They give better coverage for the way I grow and fit the Labs beautifully.

Thanks....mainly worried about light intensity. Did ur flowers change from the standard 30x20 to the giants?. Ie loss in size on center rows or oil production?

I sell these along side the Raptor becauser the XXX's are 50 bucks cheaper. THeir great if you want a realatively well performing large reflector for a good price, but their are a couple of features that are lacking on the XXX:

The allevaited socket on the XXX's is poorly made and sags when you put in a 1000w hps bulb, throwing off your center of arc in your lamp. And their specs are flawed. They say its 38-1/2" x 29" x 12", but when I measured it, it was actually 33-1/2" x 26-1/2" x 7-1/2", which is way under spec.

All in all they are a great buy for the price and features, but its lacking when compared to actual measurements of the raptor and quality and build of it.

Ok so I went with the king cobra 8"....totally fantastic. Increased yield by a little less then an hp per 2x4 tray. Yep I am very happy. Also decreased heat below bulb by 8 degrees this summer.
