Odd Behavior From People Lately?

So a couple weeks ago I was at work, working with 2 other coworkers, one says to the other "hey, guess who texted me?.. if you know, say the first letter of the first name." ...

Then I know my friend is having issues with her boyfriend... I'm like "so what happened?" she mentions she just broke up with him and she regrets it, so I asked "why?" and she replies "what, 20 questions?" kinda bitchy..

Is this kind of behavior normal? It seems really odd to me. If someone knew I was having problems, a close friend, and asked, I'd know they were genuinely curious, as I was, and interested in helping. What kind of a reaction is it to be automatically defensive?

The other shit is really starting to piss me off. This one guy in particular always does it, he's so fucking shady it's ridiculous. He'll ask me shit about my weekend, who I'm talking to, anything that comes to his mind, then when I ask him he actually says shit to me like "oh, don't worry about it.." or he'll brush off my question "oh nah, it's cool... so what's up, blah blah blah.." and try to change the subject or talk to someone else, and act as if it's not rude or out of the ordinary at all. :finger: Is this shit normal?

A few other girls do something similar too, they'll talk under their breath... walk away and talk... stop talking when someone comes around, obvious shit. That's just rude, right?

Fuckin' weird is all..

As far as your post, I just feel like people don't really care about being nice anymore. I work in a restaurant and it's incredible the way some people that come in treat us. My momma sure didn't raise me like that! Good thing karma is a bitch to all who wrong her, keep your head up homie

well since yer talkin odd behavior ill do sum ya kno ive been a member since 09. ii loved this place. been a good contributor. but not now . is all bs and nothing but trolls n bs mods banning ppl fucking bullshit. now this place has not been my home for a while now cuz of said bs. ijust might as well end it here in odd behavior thread.
brick top gone pops chitown.might as well ban all the good growers/posters like jerry garcia im sure he has made an improper post sumtime lol. nothin but luv for jerry garcia. i got nothin against you fdd, i want to hook up sum time when im in cali to get sum glass/hash.i can tell rolli really let this place go. so fuck this place im done just cant stand bs drama . cant even have a decent thread anymore. so fuck you rolli fopr doing this to us ban me please.oh btw i got the CHITOWN'S SOUR KUSH finally. google it ^^ im sure you will find me. ima breed some more for chi.

Yes, people do seem to be very rude lately. The economy the way it is is the reason for most of the poor behavior. Stress will play havoc with a person's personality.

all i wanted was some yellow squash and an artichoke. they just stood there, discussing how they would cut the cucumber. for a solid 5 mins.

we casually browsed nearby and politely waited.

and waited.

and waited.

then he walks over to the tomatoes and she still just stands there. blocking the squash and artichokes.

she sees us looking.

she takes 2 baby steps closer to her basket, now we know she knows she's in the way.

she doesn't move.


do i really have to ask? are people that oblivious to their surroundings? no awareness to anything but themselves?

I would have taken this as an answer to your question. They broke up cos she's a smartass bitch. But I don't think it's odd for someone in a breakup to feel defensive.

These people grew up with a TV that told them "it's your world" and "have it your way" and convinced them that anything is achievable if you just want it hard enough and believe in yourself. They are now dealing with the frustration of unfulfilled promise.

I've come across some RUDE ASS motherfuckers lately!

Today this guy came in with a USB cable that hooked up to his printer, and a fuckin' ancient cable I hadn't seen in maybe, 5 years? Tried to tell me his computer was telling him he needed to buy this cable that didn't exist, one end with a USB and one with this ancient port, like WTF? My boss came out and tried to tell the guy we didn't have any kind of cable he was requesting, and he was pretty sure they don't even make it, he goes on to inform him he's not "illiterate in computers" and he "used to work for NASA" OK!!! lmfao! I was standing there this guy wasn't grasping the point my boss was trying to make, just being a fuckin' idiot to be a FUCKIN' IDIOT!

Don't people feel embarrassed to make a fuckin' fool of themselves? Aren't people concerned with being too stupid to even speak to another person calmly in public??

If I did any of the shit I see people do on a day to day basis I'd feel like a dick..

Unless you're Professor X; yes, you have to ask. By not speaking your mind, polietly, you are no different than her. "She should see ME and know what I want because I'm aggressively lurking her!" What happened to the world that has the most communications available ever and has the least amount of skill to communicate? Don't be afraid of other people... they're just like you!

my point exactly, ... "she was completely oblivious to what was going on around her".


people used to be more aware and more observant. now they expect to be told what to do. even if it is simply to move out of the way.

I couldn't agree more that some people just don't get it. It's like they're progrmmed to think they're the only one's who matter. These people will get what's comming though.

Eventually, and I'm not saying exactly when...people will learn to help one another, be pleasent and respect others for the good of our existence. Some people will not want to let go of their materialistic, self-centered ways to transition into the next age of humanity...but those people who do not see the light will be dealt with.

True, but the only work that is left for people is to provide for themselves and not in the form of money and a job per say.

Anyone with the space and ability to grow their own food should do so.

I've been hustling in the general population for 5 decades...seen the slow breakdown of civil virtues along the way which changes in dynamics according to the part of the country you're in...but one common theme that transends all levels of society is the lack of concern for simple common decency and respect for others. Seems that most people on the road are oblivious to the world aroudn them...then ya have those who act as if the world revolves around them and FOR them....
I grew up with yes sirs, no mams expected always and still do....some people are truely shocked when someone actually treats them with even basic respect....much less a smile and 'good day' comment....
