Odor and Stickiness Fading

I can't seem to elicit any comments with my postings as to my beautiful near- harvest plants having lost most of their strong smell and the stickiness of the buds diminishing. It seems kinda natural they would "harden off" a bit given the 8 weeks they've been flowering but I could sure use some re-assurance that it's happened to others and may be expected. Anyone? Input please.

happened to me before, i noticed it happens more with an oscillating fan in the grow room, my current grow has no fan except for the inline pulling hot air out, and they smell and feel better than ever before. Its almost like the fan blows the smell right off the buds haha

Thank you.... Wonder if you noticed any potency difference? I do have a fan blowing on them at very low speed but your experience certainly makes sense. I dried them out! Trying to keep my humidity down didnt help either.

well, im not sure about potency difference, the bud was a little weak now that i think about it, but it was the first and last time i grew the strain so i have nothing to compare it too.

I really don't think a fan will decrease the potency in any way. Even in low humidity the plant may very well develop more trichs to retain the moisture. My grow space has very low humidity (20% or so) and my ice (almost 6wks flower) is as sticky as ever.

My plants are 10 weeks since 12/12. In addition to the drying out effect they seem stalled on maturing. They've been loaded with nice budz for weeks with lots of crystalline trikes. Very anxious to see some amber develop as that is my goal... about 30% amber trikes. One plant is Train Wreck and the other Pot of Gold. Nine wks flowering time for both according to various sources. Can there be a serious gap between the clear trikes and the amber ones?

No major apparent burn tho. wierd. Hella frosty though! growing environment not changed. i think its somethin in nutes. budz r just drier but hard as @$%#

In my experience, the more Nitrogen you give 'em, the more they smell - almost like it makes them fart, or something - plant style chili. lol
