Why wouldn't you just build a "drying cabinet" and splice a vent "hose" into your exhaust vent "hose", thereby using your already in place in-line fan ( assuming you are venting that way ) to exhaust vent your new drying cabinet while also venting your tent ( assuming you are using a tent )?

Seems like the simplest solution to me strictly from a design standpoint.

Of course, your set-up could be completely different than what i am imagining so I just wasted 3 minutes typing this.

Ya my grow room is outside the main foundation of my house . The venting goes out from the foundation . withroom built i cant access it any more just to change inline fan.
And trying to keep electric down and on the dl the dry cab would have to be inside the house but know where top put that..

Not DIY, but excellent: an ozone generator like a Crystal Air unit. It makes trimming stealthy chez bear. I've had their 3600-1 model since 2000, and it's still going strong, taking care of all sorts of domestic odors! cn

Air wick plugins in the room where u dry and in a socket right outside the room and again in your hall or near front door. That's what I done first time worked a treat. And before anyone jumps on me the plugin doesn't affect the smell/taste of your bud

Ozon generator posible but may be overkill for me.
I did read the d.i.y. bucket at 420 mag other day. This may be it , i have to find the price of just a bucket of ona gel. have a feeling it will be maybe just afew more bucks to just buy the ona system at 33$ but gonna look now.
I get back with more info and rep when i get to my comp.....

thank you so much for this info. you are the fucking man. what a cheap solution to solve the issue. if you said you did it i trust you too. i was planning on purchasing a whole new tent and filter and inline to take care of odor but fuck spending 200 on something i wont need now. id give u rep but it wont let me give u rep again .. too soon.

The same thing you do for smells while your growing, use a carbon filter in your drying room, this is the only sure way to remove any odors. Ona gell in combination can be a good idea as it doesn't so much remove odor as it does mask it, so the two in conjunction work well, first you remove the odor then you supply a different odor to really mask any other odor.

Nothing takes the smell completely away. U can try and hide it and mask it all ya want but at the end of the day it still smells like herb. Trim time stinks like ganja..thats just the way it is when u grow good smoke.

I tend to be allergic to masking odorants. I have found that ozone works amazingly well, but it has to be supervised. Too much is bad.
I got a carbon filter as my plan B, actually. The combo has been wonderful ... the carbon to carry most of the job, and the ozone to chase "escapees" and unfortunate digestive consequences.
I agree that the ozone generator is expensive to purchase, but it only consumes air and a bit of electricity. Mine's of an age to interest my weird cousin Pedo, and it's still good on its first grid. cn

Low humidity/low temp should smell less than low humidity/higher heat, if that helps any.
Good Luck.
